Outstanding countryside location atop the Foyle River with a breath-taking panoramic view overlooking the city of Derry ~ Londonderry. There is no finer area in the city! A well-appointed en-suite guestroom in host-shared accommodation, located only 3 miles from the city centre (approximately a £4 taxi ride one way into the city centre), with private parking, plenty of areas in which to walk or cycle and explore, and views, views views! With Derry's best farm shop conveniently located alongside, guests can chose to soak up the country, or explore the Walled City, home to both craftshops and world class shopping and dining. With the 2013 City of Culture award, there are always things to do in Derry~Londonderry, whether you're here for the All-Ireland Fleadh, St. Patrick's Day, the City of Derry Jazz Festival, BBC's Radio One Big Weekend, the Turner Prize, the Gathering 2013, Halloween on the Banks of the Foyle, Walled market weekends, or just sight-seeing in and around Donegal, Inishowen, Grianan of Aileach, or up to the North Coast along Giant's Causeway, Mussenden Temple and Downhill Demense, Bushmill's, or any other of the amazing things to here, we are conveniently located.
This accommodation is for a maximum of two (2) people, (there is no additional charge for the second guest) and guests will be treated to a bottle of wine on arrival, (or Co. Armagh apple juice), and a continental breakfast (pastries, juice, coffee or tea) in the morning. Guests can pre-arrange for a full Ulster breakfast featuring locally reared bacon and farm-fresh eggs, for an additional charge. Times for arrival are after 2 p.m., and departure at 12 p.m. For certain periods throughout the year, there may be a minimum stay required.
Guests are advised that the home is shared with an indoor housecat, so those with allergies would be advised to chose a different accommodation.
2 guests maximum. Arrival is after 2:00 pm, and departure is 12:00 pm. There is a barbecue that guests may use, weather permitting. Tea and coffee as you'd like, with continental breakfast in the morning. Full Irish breakfast using local fare when available, for a fee, with pre-ordering. Guests must be over 18. Arrangements can be made for a fee for laundry use. Wireless internet is available for free, and printing (i.e., boarding passes, etc.) is available for a fee. There are private country lanes which may be used for guests. Hosts will be happy to make suggestions for day trips, restaurants, etc. Parking is available for guests only.
