Play on the sand or swim. The Creek is tidal so for the young you should go to the beach at low water when they can swim, splash and play in shallow water. There is also a nice sandy beach at low water.
Swimming from the pier is quite safe there is no undertow, just be aware that the tide forms a current as it flows and ebbs and do not try to fight it, look at the flow before you jump in and go with it. on the Facebook "Querrin sailing" there is a link to a tide tables. My kids spend every evening of their holidays jumping off the pier and swimming around. There is a flat screen in the cottage playroom and a DVD player, bring your laptop or some DVDs so that you can relax at the fire and they will be happy after a days activity.
There is a large Garden around the cottage so they can play quite safely, You will find some Tennis Rackets in the hall, there is a Ball Alley on the pier, like an open air squash court so you can work off excess energy (or food) there.

There is a dishwasher, Fridge, Freezer, Microwave, Washing machine, Cooker, George Foreman, Juicer, etc in the cottage.
We leave salt, pepper, sugar tinned goods, spices, condiments etc in the larder, If you finish something replace it but otherwise just work away
