Discovering the Valley of Dreams begins the moment you step on the land for the healing energetics are very tangible. Entering Cielo, the main building, your senses will be tantalized in many ways: by vibrant colors, the scent of delicious International Gourmet Vegetarian food being prepared, or the sounds of live guitar music. Here you can make new friends, use the Wi-Fi, participate in a workshop, do your yoga practice, or just hang-out in the comfortable living room setting.
We offer knowledge and support for those thinking of moving to Costa Rica, utilizing the affordable dental services, or creating their own memorable adventure experience, making the Valley of Dreams their home-base. I could not have been happier with this rental. I have lived in Costa Rica for 16 years and this is the best getaway I've ever had. This simple cabin nestled in all this green was just what I needed. I haven't slept this well or felt this peaceful in years.
The hammock on the back porch is priceless. I spent lots of time there both during the day and in the evening listening to the night sounds. There is a huge cluster of bamboo right off the porch that I really enjoyed.
Out of the 9 days I spent here a good number I didn't leave the property. There are beautiful views all around and I just enjoyed soaking up the energy and peacefulness of the place.
The host was not there as it is the low season in Costa Rica and the man taking care of the property is an artist named Pedro. Pedro really is a great guy and always went out of his way to make sure I had a good time. I don't have a car and it is somewhat a tough area to get around without one. He was very good in arranging a local informal taxi when I needed to go somewhere.
I would highly recommend this place! I hope to use the location in the future for some small retreats. In the meantime, it is only 2 hours south of me so I hope to get back down there for a couple of days here and there.
Jack is truly a kindred spirit. We pride ourselves at the Valley of Dreams to show the real Costa Rica, not your all inclusive, gated style establishment. Living right with nature and our local Tico neighbors, gives one a priceless experience. We also call ourselves the Valley of Dreams as most every guest comments on how well they sleep and the depth of their dreams. Thank-you so much Jack for your lovely review and hope to meet you in person when I return to CR the next time.
If you don't like to be on the beaten path with the tourist crowds and look for authentic experiences while you travel, Valle de suenos is just right for you! This enchanting valley guest house in the jungle is charming only to be matched by the kindness and generosity of Pedro who took wonderful care if me and my son while we stayed for 3 days. The cabin has an enchanting feeling to it, we spent a lot of time relaxing in the hammock and listening to the jungle's sounds lolling us to sleep. Wind, warm rain, frogs, birds made a wonderful symphony that accompanied our stay and mellowed us into the real Costa Rica experience. The kitchen is great to prepare our food bought at the local farmers organic market. Pedro is a wonderful human being and artist that you would really want to have as your friend. He suggested great things to do and places to go to and we enjoyed so much his company that my son stayed with him to watch soccer all the time. Thank you Pedro and Gi for this lovely experience! We want to be back already :-)
Our best host in Costa Rica!!!
Unfortunatelly we haven't seen Gi, but Pedro has been so nice, really helpful, he gave us great advices concerning restaurants and places to go. We enjoyed so much our stay that we asked for an extra night.
And another important thing, you will quickly understand that finding a place in CR can be a problem because there is no adress. But for once, the info gave by Gil are perfectly clear!
We warmly recommand this place!!!
