The building itself is a dated Japanese apartment building built in 1971. Once you step inside this private apartment you’ll see a sharp contrast from your first impression outside. We just finished renovating the apartment.
The apartment itself is a spacious thirty two square meter one bedroom apartment (a lot bigger than most of the tiny studios in Tokyo!) located on the 5th floor and gets plenty of natural sunlight. From the balcony you have a city view and can even see Tokyo tower. There is a traditional Japanese style bath and shower. Utilities and high speed internet with wifi are all included, as well as all the other amenties to make your stay comfortable.
Our apartment’s location is the ideal base for exploring Tokyo. Our property borders Hinokicho park in Roppongi Tokyo Midtown and we are only a one minute walk from the entrance. Roppongi Tokyo Midtown is home to the Ritz Carlton Hotel (that’s how great the location is!) and a plethora of chic eateries and upscale bars. Our apartment offers fantastic transportation access as well. We’re only a five minute walk to Roppongi Station and Nogizaka Station. But if you want to enjoy the urban landscape by foot, Omotesando (Tokyo’s fashion district), Harajuku (street and pop culture Japan), Roppongi (nightlife and entertainment) are all within easy walking distance. There’s a large supermarket located in the Tokyo Midtown development, as well as ATMs/banks, Starbucks, restaurants, and boutiques.
ART, FOOD, CULTURE:
The National Art Center which is a massive venue with changing art exhibitions is only an 8 minute walk away. They have exhibitions of local artists with many interesting and unique pieces from all over Japan. From the apartment you can also take a leisurely stroll past Nogizaka shrine and continue on through Aoyama Cemetary which has beautiful sakura trees that blossom every spring. The road takes you down Omotesando dori which has some of the most unique architecture in the world. Continuing down Omotesando dori you hit Harajuku which is the epicenter of Japanese pop and street culture.
For you epicureans wanting to experience Japanese cuisine, you can easily walk to some of the best ramen, sushi, udon, and teppanyaki restaurants in Japan from our apartment. Just let us know what you’re interested in and we can help you out with your itinerary. We’re locals and can help you get off the beaten track.
We have an elevator in our building so no need to climb stairs after a long day out

Coming from Narita Airport, you can take either the Airport Limousine Bus (3,000 yen) to the Ritz Carlton Hotel at Tokyo Midtown and walk five minutes to the apartment. Or you can hop on the Narita Express train to Tokyo Station and take the metro subway to Nogizaka station. Oak were great, they gave us plenty of information on the flat and the surroundings before we arrived and Nick, Satono and Yurika were really helpful and offered us advice and extras (ear plugs, blankets etc) once we arrived. The apartment was exactly what we needed; bigger than a hotel and really well located too. We didn't use the kitchen but only because we were out all the time - it was well-equipped and would have been easy to use. The pocket wifi came in really handy when we were out and about and it was great to have a washing machine and somewhere to dry clothes too. We'd definitely stay here again, and will be getting in touch next year when we come back for our son's wedding!
We arrived at the apartment with ease. The instructions to get there and get the key were perfect. The apartment building doesn't look crash hot, but don't judge a book by it's cover...the apartment itself is fantastic. Out of the four Airbnb apartments we stayed in, this was the biggest and the most well equipped. On top of that, the hosts made us feel so well looked after that we cannot fault them in the slightest. The portable wifi is really handy and the apartment is in a fantastic area. Highly recommend.
The host of this apartment was awesome. They helped us make reservations for taxis and restaurants in Tokyo. They were quick to respond whenever we had questions.
The apartment itself is great too. It is in a great location (5 minute walk to 3 metro stations), clean, comfortable and spacious. We would highly recommend this host and apartment to anyone interested in staying in Tokyo.
very good experience. Good location, easy access to everywhere. Quite and close to the ritz Carlton. I like the apt so much, next time i will choose this apt again.
This was my 2nd time, although a different unit. I love this area especially there is a park nearby. The room is what you see in the pictures. I have no problem to get to the apartment and anywhere else. During my stay there was some construction going on, hence there were some noises in the morning, the host was kind enough to offer ear plugs. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

About the Host, Oak
Konnichi wa! Hello from Tokyo!!! I love to share with you the beauty of contemporary Japanese culture. Having backpacked around the world I know first hand how it feels to be in a new country and to immerse oneself in a new culture. I'm inspired by those little details that we encounter everyday but often get overlooked in our busy lives in Tokyo from signboards to toy designs to building architecture. I would love to share with you our passion for art, Tokyo street culture, and local cuisine!
