Excellent accommodation for travellers seeking elegance and comfort, this charming vacation rental is located in Via Cavour, just a few steps away from the Roman Forum and the Colosseum, in the heart of the ancient Rome. This apartment, restored by the famous architecture Busiri-Vici, is on the the 4th floor, accessible via lift, of Palazzo Ciacci, built at the end of the 19th century by the Marquises Ciacci. The large entrance with Corinthian columns distinguishes the importance of this building safeguarded by the Ministry of Fine Arts. The apartment is composed by a large hall, a spacious and elegant living room with couches, dining corner, frescos on the walls, and a royal crystal chandelier that give this place a distinctive atmosphere. There is also a double bedroom, a twin bedroom and two single beds, a completely equipped kitchen, a small washroom and a big washroom with a tub. It is furnished with TV, washing machine and air conditioner. Numerous walls with frescos, very tall ceilings, good quality antique furniture and windows with a breathtaking view over the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore complete this very bright apartment unique among our vacation rentals as witnessed by the publication of an article on the magazine Vogue Casa.
The host was very prompt and professional...unfortunately the issues with this location could not be overcome. The good...great location. The bad...furniture including beds are very uncomfortable and old. Door is so hard to lock and unlock it made it impossible for my dad and wife to leave or come back as they could not physically open the (website hidden) in main room was not working so it loft us very uncomfortable.
Location of this apartment is excellent, very close to the Termini metro and train station. There are many restaurants nearby as well. Leonardo was nice and met us on the scheduled time. The apartment was recently renovated and looks the same as shown in the pictures. It has 3 AC's (one in the living room, one in the master bedroom and one in the 2nd bedroom), which is great for stays during the summer. The apartment is on the 5th floor while the elevator only goes up to the 4th floor, there are also stairs on the ground floor up to where the elevator is located. The apartment has some basic cooking pots but lack utensils. We got everything missing from the apartment from the super market inside the Termini station, which is quite convenient. The master bedroom and the 2nd bedroom are very spacious. There was a drainage problem at the Master bedroom's washroom, but Leonardo fixed it the next day. The 3rd bedroom is actually located in the attic, and it's not meant for anyone to carry their luggage up. Overall, we had a great time staying in the apartment and would recommend it to others!
Appartement propre et bien conçu. L'endroit est très calme et on a pu dormir les fenêtres ouvertes ! Le centre est très proche à pied .
Leobardo was helpful and promptly answered Emails. He also organised the pick up and drop off at the airport for us. The apartment is in a Great location. Really great access to everything and buses and taxi stand just outside the front door. However, the apartment had quite a strong musty smell and was quite damp (Leonardo mentioned it to us upon our arrival). Overall we had a great time in Rome!
The apartment is old which is fine but the place was poorly maintained and dirty. There were some small dead insects on one of the beds when I uncover the bedsheet cover. Internet was working fine. But not all the rooms were air conditioned, none of the rooms were fitted with air condition. When we arrived there was one portable air condition in the living room but was not fixed. The hot air ventilation and water drainage pipe was left dangling without being fixed, so you can literally feel hot and cool air at the same time. There was another portable air condition in one of the rooms without ventilation pipes and drainage pipe. Someone came to fixed this particular set after we went out later in the day.
Location is okie, its near to supermarket, metro and bus stops. Lots of restaurants nearby.
The host was very welcoming and helpful. The house was in great shape and the basic household appliances was available. Definitely a great place to stay.
Very nice experience. A very ample living room and comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Convenient location, close to the Vatican with a taxi station in front of the building as well as public transportation. An amazing shopping street around the corner.
The view of the San Pietro dome is an extra!
The host was very kind and helpful.
Staying at Vivien and Leonardo's was a nice experience. The flat is very practical, well renovated, clean and functional. The neighbourhood is very practical, convenience shops nearby and a cafe right across the street for breakfast. The flat could use better sound isolation as it is close to a busy street, but it was overall a very nice stay.
The check-in was perfect, a help of the hosts was on time, very friendly and gave us useful touristic and practical tips.
Prompt and friendly communications with the host who also provided pick up service to and from the apartment to the airport. The apartment was along a quite side street and suited my needs. Everything was exactly as described and shown in the photos. I would definitely recommend this to couples or single travellers to Rome.
