Feel free to use a shelf in the refrigerator, wifi, washer/dryer or hang out on the front patio. I'll have bottled water in the room for you.

Interaction with Guests
I'll be around the house from time to time for any assistance you may need and get you through your Austin experience.
From my house, it's a mile walk to several great restaurants on east MLK Blvd and Manor Road! To name a few: Contigo, in.gredients, Mi Madres, Eastside Café, Bennu coffee shop, TacoMex, The Daily Press, bike shop, etc. Head down to east 6th and 11th for more tasty restaurants, music venues and shops!
Ride the Capitol MetroRail or Metrobus! Rent bikes and ride to downtown or eastside for great food or music!
Headed downtown, walk 8 minutes to MetroRail, take the red line to east 5th/Plaza Saltillo or downtown/4th Street.
Headed to a UT game, take the Cap metro bus 18 across the street on MLK for $1 which will drop you off in front of the stadium!
My house is 7 miles/15 mins away from the ABIA airport; a 1 ½ miles from UT, UT stadiums; 3 miles from downtown Austin and the capital; 2 miles from east 7th street; 4 miles from Town lake; 1 mile from Mueller park.
For emergency purposes, I will need guests' full names and cell phone numbers.
No visitors allowed at the house.
Common curiosity when arriving at all hours of the night.
Let me say that this is my first ever AirBnB stay, anywhere! After quite a few snafu's with even trying to find accommodations (a few of my requests were rejected because they haven't updated the prices, 1 accidentally approved another person with the same name and a few didn't even get back to me) I was getting a bit discouraged, so I tried again. Fortunately, it was approved, and Annette sent me a nice email, even apologized for not getting to me sooner. So things were definitely looking up.
A couple of days before I arrived, I sent Annette another email just as a heads up. The day my flight gets into Austin, she said that she might not be home and informed me that she'll leave the key for me to find. However, when I got to her place, I called her just to let her know I'm there, and her car was just pulling in the driveway not even a minute after I arrived.
Her place is immaculate and inviting, she really made me feel welcome. Her dog Eddie was pretty friendly as well. She even put some snack bars next to the bed in the bedroom I was staying, which I actually ate when I arrived because I was quite famished.
She gave me the lowdown of the city, where to go, where to eat, she even had a welcome sheet with the pertinent house info (like the Wifi password) which was great.
Annette really made me feel right at home, it was like staying a friends place, which is what separates an AirBnB experience from the traditional hotels, and also the reason why I'll be using AirBnB more.
I highly recommend staying at this house, it's nice, clean, and more importantly, it's close to everything. I don't think I traveled more than 20 minutes to go anywhere.
Thanks Annette (and Eddie)!
The room and house was exactly as the pictures are but bigger. Annette gave us plenty of privacy and made sure we were comfortable. Enjoyed so much chatting with her and playing with Eddie (dog) and it was such a delight coming home and telling her about our day.
Our SXSW experience was made so easy as there were so much choices for transport, train or bus all within five minutes of the place.
Safe travels Annette and hope our paths will cross again! Great place to Use as base camp when you are in Austin!
Annette and her dog Eddie were most welcoming. We had a fantastic experience in Austin. The house is close to rail and bus stops and it was very easy to get to downtown.
Our experience with Annette was fantastic. She exceeded all of our expectations. She was very hospitable and gracious, supplying us with maps, fresh towels, freedom to come and go as we pleased... and even an umbrella! The house was very clean, and in a really great neighborhood with access to a train and buses downtown, as well as several food options (incl. a great "roadside BBQ" joint at the top of her street and a mexican spot close by). This was a fantastic first Air BnB experience and I would definitely recommend staying with Annette to anyone visiting the Austin area.
Annette's home is beautiful, comfortable and spotless! And her dog Eddie is just the sweetest. We were at SXSW Interactive and the location was really convenient. Just two stops on the train which is an easy 5 minute walk from the house took us right to the convention center. But be warned - the train does not run on Sunday. You can also take the bus downtown but it takes MUCH longer.
Love to travel the path less taken or the ones taken by the locals. I'm always up for an adventure! I'm pretty active, fun loving person and get along with anyone.
