  • Phyllis and Randy have a wonderful place that is in THE most excellent location in all of Burbank. If you come here to be a hermit better think again - Phyllis and Randy are two of the most interesting people you will ever meet. Once a conversation starts you do not want it to end.

Phyllis is forthright and passionately authentic with an exceedingly kind heart. Randy is wise and thoughtful with an easiness of spirit grafted to the enthusiasm of a teenager. Even if their home wasn't as warm and welcoming as they have made it, I would come here just to share conversation over Phyllis' fantastic coffee. Outstanding stay!

  • You couldn't ask for better hosts than Phyllis and Randy!! They were so friendly and welcoming to their home. The room is great and the house is in a fantastic safe location, and so close to nice cafes and restaurants. It is also the best place to stay if you are a horse lover!!

  • Phyllis & Randy are 2 of the nicest people you will meet.
They have a great knowledge of Burbank and other places
of interest in LA and the surrounding areas.
The house is fantastic and the neighbourhood is safe as well.
Would definitely recommend anyone to make a booking. :-)

  • It was my first time using Air bnb . I had the most marvelous time! Phyllis and Randy are the nicest, warmest, intelligent, informative, and graceous couple: they made my trip! My favorite part of my trip was meeting them! They gave me great suggestions for food and directions...which was great. , Phyllis's knowledge of horses and the L.A. Equestrian center was so much fun. As a woman traveling alone it was so nice to stay in a place that felt so like home. Many thanks to them!

  • Already reviewed. Even better the second time.

  • Phyllis and Randy are welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and generous hosts. For us, talking to them was the most fun. In addition to that, we enjoyed fresh roses in our room and the bathroom, access to healthy snacks at all times, fresh bagels, excellent yogurt, and fantastic coffee. We ate "cuties"that came from a tree outside our window. We were invited to see their beautiful horses right in the back of the house. Their lovely home, clean and beautiful, is about a half mile from the Burbank Equestrian Center, three miles from downtown, and close to all places related to the entertainment world. We have already stayed twice and would happily do so again.

  • I had a great time staying at Phyllis and Randy´s place. The house and room are very nice. The best are the Phyllis and Randy. Very nice people, persoable, made me feel at home. I feel like we hit it off very well and if I lived in LA I am sure I would enjoy hanging out with them. One of the two night I ended up going out to dinner with Randy to a local restaurant with live musing and had a great time!

  • Phyllis and Randy are wonderful hosts and their home is in a beautiful area of Burbank. The house is immaculate and the room they are renting is lovely. I stayed with my dog, which I had never done before, and they went out of their way to make us both feel very comfortable.

Their home is located in the Rancho Equestrian area of Burbank, close to the Griffith Park Equestrian Center, and within easy access to major studios all LA has to offer. It is a peaceful sanctuary I highly recommend.

  • Perfect location for our month long stay in Los Angeles. Middle of everything, easy access to major arteries and a lovely neighborhood to boost. We loved walking our dog every day and encounter horses at just about any corner. It was like a little rural paradise in the middle of a metropolis. The house is adorable and our hosts could not be more welcoming. We rented a room but realized that we had the use of most of the house (kitchen, living room, reading room, gardens, etc...). Our dog loved her stay with Phyllis and Randy and the 2 horses. It did not take long to feel at home. Our hosts were always available and ready to help. Great experience.

  • Instantly felt right at home with Phyllis and Randy. Really wonderful hosts with great recommendations for things to do in the area. Room was very comfortable, lots of light, very clean and a good amount of space. Lovely house on a charming street in a convenient location. Can't say enough positive things about the experience! Will definitely book again.

About
I am a horse lover and spend as much of my time with them as possible. We breed the rare Andalusian breed originally from Spain (the horse on which most "Knight" chess pieces are modeled. Our horses are movie stars, have been featured in books and magazines and are all around worldly and wise. I love to travel, been to Poland, Hungry, Austria and England. Can't wait to see more of our beautiful planet. I am a music buff and appreciate all genres of music. My husband and I are both passionate, fun-loving people. I'm Randy, the "horse-husband," skilled at mucking stalls and changing water buckets. In my spare time from that, I'm an attorney and a mortgage lending company owner. I'm also an owner of a fledgling film production company. Like Phyllis, I'm an avid reader, hence our large library, though my taste runs to classics and to baseball. I've been an adult league hardball baseball player for the past 17 years (left field). Taking a DL break this year and coaching instead. We both have a lot of other interests and enjoy good conversation over a glass of wine or cup of coffee.
