Interaction with Guests
Guests will receive much advice during their stay on the trails to do, places to visit, on the Ionian and Tyrrhenian and the paths Aspromonte with valuable tips on restaurants and food in general. They are very present to ensure that their time is well spent in my city.
The neighborhood is full of shops, restaurants and bars as well as the presence of the castle and the cathedral, but at night it is very quiet which allows a good rest.
You do not need to use public transport, though they are a few minutes walk away, And 'advisable to go out on foot.
Other Things to Note
The National Museum, home of "Riace bronzes", is located 700 yards walk through the beautiful waterfront.
The house does not have any rules except those dictated by common sense and therefore respect towards other guests present.
Communication with Lorenzo, the owner, prior to our arrival went smoothly. He made us feel welcome the moment we arrived, explaining in detail the major sights of the city. He also made the best restaurant recommendations.
Information and photos of the b&b in the website are factual which is very pleasant. I didn't get disappointed. Clean & spacious room with a balcony facing the street. Sound insulation is good. But although it's not a busy street, it's still in the city. So, if you're a light sleeper like me, bring ear plugs. I slept like a baby all 4 nights!
Location: in the middle of the city, walking distance to restaurant, bars, musea & major shopping street. Easy parking in a garage or in the streets close by.
My favorite things in this b&b are the little extras that make the difference:
1) nespresso machine in the room
2) tea making facilities plus sweets in the common area
3) the free non-alcoholic drinks in your fridge
4) the sweet smelling toiletries
5) the warmth & friendliness of the owner and staff
6) and fast free wifi
Bernadette, the friendly floor manager, made sure our room was clean, made up and smelling so good whenever we returned after a day of sight seeing. Thank you, Bernadette!
Lorenzo, you are so good to us! Thank you for making our stay in Reggio Calabria unforgettable! (And a big thank you for printing our tickets!)
Your guests from the Netherlands
Lorenzo is the most amazing host! We arrived very late at night (11:00) and he was there with a smile and a bottle of wine to share. The room was wonderful and very comfortable and I really appreciated the Nespresso machine I. The room. You cannot NOT be charmed by Lorenzo! He is so pleasant to talk with. And, he and his wife even took us on an afternoon visit to Scilla, the neighboring town. I cannot say enough about this wonderful host. His B&B is THE only place to stay in Reggio Calabria,
We stayed at Lorenzo's apartment in August 2013 and I am sorry that we could not stay longer. Lorenzo was charming, spoiling us with local foods and drink, helping us with directions and recommeding a great restaurant. The room was very clean, neat and modern - with a very luxurious modern bathroom. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here and we will definitely be back (for longer next time). Thanks Lorenzo we loved it.
