Interaction with Guests
We have awarded host experience working with Airbnb since 2011 - With top ratings and hundreds of 5 star reviews!!! We hosted responsibly guests from all over the world and we enjoy doing that.
Convenience is an understatement! Our apartment is conveniently located to everything and anything you might need for a perfect stay. Within a block or two from this apartment one will find a post office, major banks, grocery stores, wine stores, pharmacies, etc.. In downtown DC, Dupont Circle couldn't be a better place to enjoy the city by day and night, just steps (0.2 mile/4min) from the north entrance of the Dupont Circle Metro Station on red line. You could easily walk to the White House, National Mall, Monuments and Museums from Dupont Circle. Access and transportation is privileged with several Zipcars parking lots, Capital Bikeshare, car2go, Buses and highway access on Connecticut Ave. In the neighborhood you are also served with the bests restaurants in town and also 24/7 pharmacies, a variety of markets and supermarkets (Whole Foods, Safeway, Trader Joe's). Very safe - we never had any safety issues during our hosting experience since 2011, the area is one of the most police watched in the city and people enjoy life outdoors just as much as indoors, lots of families with kids, dogs and also a lot of young professionals and students enjoy the amazing diversity that Dupont Circle has to offer.
For parking please see "House Rules"
The price is low due to few reviews. Let's say it's an introductory rate and definitely a good opportunity for you to save money staying in the best location while helping us to build up references.
No smoking or heavy partying are permitted.
It would be appreciated if you could do one of the following before booking: Link your Airbnb profile to a social network; verify your phone number; or complete your Airbnb profile. Thanks!
· Why there is no top sheet?
We use european bedding, which is a duvet cover (like a big pillow case) that covers the entire comforter instead of using only a top sheet. The duvet cover is replaced and cleaned for each guest.
· How can I survive without daily towel supply?
The cost of stay would be much higher if we were to provide hotel-like room service. But if you need clean towels every day you are more than welcome to use the laundry facilities in the building or request our housekeeper to come replace towels and bed sheets for you, an extra cleaning fee will be added tough.
· I can't cook if there is no salt, pepper and oil.
Well, we've tried to supply these products but people kept bringing their own and instead of having too many leftovers we decided to go clean and let you choose whether you want to use leftovers found in the apartment or bring your own.
· I need a late checkout, my flight doesn't leave until 10pm.
As much as we'd love to accommodate your request for a late checkout or early checkin it would be the same as asking you not to check in until 10pm or not to checkin until 4pm because of other guest's personal schedules. To be fair to everyone's time you should plan to check-out and checkin on time. Or book an extra day.
*Bath&Body care products are offered for each booking and supplied on every housekeeper visit.

ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES
Check-in is after 4pm and Check-out before 12pm. This is important, although there is flexibility to drop off bags after 12pm and/or leave them until 4pm.
Parking deserves special treatment. On weekdays, visitors to the city will have to pay for a garage spot (check /(website hidden)). On-street parking is limited city-wide by meter or by residential zone. Metered parking is present throughout commercial areas, and meters will be limited to two hours. Street parking is free, but limited to two hours (starting from when you first park) in each zone per day, until 8PM. So, presumably, you could move your car around the eight zones throughout the day and then find a metered spot to ditch your car overnight, but that clearly would not be practical. Weekends are more accommodating to guests, as parking restrictions ease a bit on Saturdays, and are mostly gone on Sundays. Be forewarned, though, that the city has potential near-term plans to extend zone and meter restrictions into the weekends.
So if you are coming by car, what to do? The giant $20/day lot at Union Station is a good bet. If you are staying for more than a month, we can get you a temporary visitor parking permit, good for fifteen days (fees may apply). You can usually find better parking rates just outside the city near outer Metro stops (three of which have a very limited number of multi-day (up to ten days) parking spots: Greenbelt, Huntington, and Franconia-Springfield). And if you just don't want to pay for parking period, head over to a residential area in the suburbs near a Metro station to ditch your car, then walk or catch a bus to the station and head into D.C.!
We cannot accommodate pets, parties/large groups and smoke inside the apartment is strictly prohibited. Aside from that there are no rules. Have a good time and enjoy your stay in the beautiful city of Washington DC! This location is absolutely wonderful, and a perfect place to stay for people on business or pleasure. Cheers and safe travels!
The apartment is exactly as advertised! We loved everything about the place, great location with wonderful restaurants and bars, only .5 miles away from 2 metro stops (no need for a car in DC), all of this plus the apt complex is quite. The location is also very safe. All and all the stay was perfect, thank you Ciro!
My girlfriend and I recently had a great weekend exploring all of the must-see sights in DC. Ciro's apartment is located in a great location just near the Dupont Cirlce metro stop and within walking distance of downtown destinations. The apartment was as it appears in photos: clean, simple, and just the right size fore two people. Towels and an extra set of keys were easy to find upon arriving. Would recommend to others! Thank you, Ciro.
The location is very central and the unit is sparse, but comfortable. The bed was comfortable and despite being on a relatively busy road we had no issues with street noise. Just a reminder to future guests that there is NOT soap, shampoo, etc. provided, which I did not remember!
The apartment is great. It will be good if the way of self check in could be more convenient. Because we arrived in a heavy snow day, the lockbox is hard to open. However, everything else is perfect!
This flat is decorated very nicely and looks exactly like the photos. It is in an excellent location. Ciro was very attentive in advance of my arrival -- booking and arrival logistics were very easy. (I'd stayed in other of Ciro's properties in the past and had the same good experience.)
Unfortunately, once I was in the flat my experience changed. In particular, the flat was freezing -- and it remained extremely cold during my entire 3 days there. I was miserable. I contacted Ciro multiple times about this; he did respond (usually after several hours) but the situation did not improve. There were no spare blankets, and no ability to control the heat. I ended up getting ill.
In all my Airbnb experiences, both traveling and hosting, this is the first time that I have ever had such difficulties. I am a huge fan of the Airbnb community, however I must caution people from staying here especially if it's cold.
April contacted me twice during her stay. The first time was when she arrived telling me that the room temperature wasn't comfortable for her. I immediately opened a service order and raised the temperature for April. Not hearing back from her I assumed that everything was fine. But apparently not and the second time she wrote me was late at the night before her checkout. Despite the fact that she didn't want anything done by that time I asked the controllers to raise the temperature again and they did. She was still not happy and wrote me a third message from home saying how upset she was. That made me very concerned about the whole situation with her. What I don't understand is why she let it go that far. I give clear instructions to my guests including my personal phone number and two e-mail addresses to contact me or our local managers in any emergency situation. I am an extremely responsive host and a problem like the one she had should be serious enough for someone to try all means of communication with the host if they think their request wasn't answered. But she only wrote me on Airbnb message thread (which I recommend for most reasons) and despite my immediate attention she never got back to me until it was too late to do anything. No other guest before or after April had problems adjusting the room temperature.
Great location and the description on how to access the building was very precise and I got in with very little problem.
I read from other reviews that the noise from the heating unit was somewhat disturbing. I found it soothing....like a soft white noise while I slept.
The place was clean and neat, and looked just like the images.
The studio was great! Picking up the key was really easy. I was weary because I heard it was difficult to find, but it turned out to be simple. The apartment is well located and we found a lot of great restaurants nearby.
Thank you again!
