Julia's guesthouse occupies an entire floor of a beautifully restored home with Spanish Neocolonial architecture on a quiet, safe street in Vedado. Just a couple blocks from the main thoroughfare of Calle 23, her house is within walking distance to the Malecón, Habana Libre, University of Havana, Colón Cemetery and Plaza de la Revolución. There is ample parking out front, breakfast and dinner optional, and optional laundry service as well.

An interesting experience of living in a colonial house that is over 100 years old. If you do not speak Spanish at all, like me and my cousin, you will be very limited when it comes to getting any advice and guidance from the hosts who spoke zero English. They were polite…

Hi Joan, Thank you for your kind review -- I will keep bugging Julia about the dust and I'm hoping to help her improve the bathroom and resolve the water pressure issue this year! If you're ever back in Havana, you're always welcome at Julia's!

Julia's home is amazing - both she and Brian were great communicators. The location and house is beautiful, and Julia was so incredibly helpful with figuring out the logistics of my visit. Can't recommend this place highly enough!

Interaction with guests
Julia, though she only speaks Spanish, is charming and always curious about her guests. She is a great conversationalist but is as happy to give guests their privacy. She has been dubbed by one of her many international friends "the Cuban Tina Turner" for her sassy attitude and…
