I think this place was a steal! Paid very little for a place to stay with a good location. I was guided by the house keeper to the wrong room. So I couldn't tell you exactly how this room was but the room next door I would rate no better than a 70%. Cold floors, ants, and everything seemed slightly moist. But the most important thing was that we got a good night's sleep for absolutly bottom rock prices. If I came to nyc again I would definitly consider this place again.
We have a great time at Suki and Elvis house. Everything was clean, a really quiet and safety neigborhood near to the subway station. The communication was totally clear. +1 additional point because the cheap commerce and groceries around!!! Recommended (y)
I would be ashamed if I offered something like that. The ugliest and dirtiest place we've ever seen.
Never got to meet the hosts but that was fine because generally they were responsive to my general questions. The room/ accessories are mostly as advertised, it was spacious and good for the price. Only big complaint was the non working heat. While it is early spring, the weather was in the 40s-50s at night and the room being in the basement was freezing. When we inquired about it, we never heard back from them again. It would otherwise have been great.
The house and the room were dirty and messy. There were dead bugs everywhere. The toilet was broken and the bathroom has not been cleaned in a very very very long time. If I hadn't bring my own bed sheet by me I'm sure I couldn't get 5 seconds sleep, everything was so dirty in the room. Before my trip we had a very friendly contact with the hosts but after my arrival I couldn't get any answer from them. By the way the doors were really awful and it's useless to lock them because anyone who wants to get in can make it with only a single push. Fortunately I had no serious trouble there. So I left my whole litter in the room before I left because it wasn't a room for me, it was a trash. Yes, the price is really low but even if you're on a tight budget consider it one more time, it won't worth it.
Cheap please. You get what is worth it. Bathroom was not clean. Electricity was gone one day.
