Room for rent in Long Island CIty, located 20 minutes outside of midtown Manhattan. The room features a queen size bed, a dresser, a mirror, a night stand and a computer desk with chairs. The bedroom fits two people very comfortably and can fit a third on a blow up bed for an extra $20 a night. You would share a bathroom with the other Airbnb guest in the other bedroom. Each bedroom has their own lock on the door for secure privacy and each has their own entrance way to the room. There is no kitchen, however you do share a refrigerator, a microwave and a toaster. Great for storing food/drinks and having a small snack or breakfast.
As well there is free WIFI internet throughout the house. Clean sheets are always provided and a cleaning lady comes by to clean the bathroom and common areas. The hosts (Elvis+Suzi) live around the corner and are always around to meet/greet guests and take care any problems that may arise. The apt is a 10 minute walk to the N/Q Broadway Ave Subway stop and 20 minutes outside of midtown Manhattan and Times Square. It is also conveniently located close to 24 hr supermarket, shops, cafes, bars and much more. Around the corner there is a 24 hour diner that delivers. Located in Long Island CIty/Astoria, one of the safest and trendiest neighborhoods in all of New York City!
Things we provide: clean sheets, blankets, pillows, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels.
As well a blow up bed is available for a third person at $25 a night.
In order to stay economical we do not provide towels, however, if you need them you could rent them at $3 per towel, which can be paid in cash at check in. Just please let us know in advance.

we had a great time in queens. suzi and elvis are great hosts. they are very helpful people.
Nice room, with a big comfortable bed and sheets available.
It has one heater which is part of the room and other two electric heaters.
The subway station (Broadway Station, Yellow Line (N, Q) is close (5-6 minutes walking). Supermarkets , department stores, small markets are near.
I met the hosts, they are nice.
Thank you guys!
Great! The place was just what I needed. Nice and quiet, in a good location, close to everything. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks Suzi and Elvis.
Service was excellent!!! Whenever I'd call they would answer and be more than willing to help. Everything was easy and simple as long as you follow the instructions! Thank you
Very nice apartment and safe neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay at Suzi and Elvis' place. They were great hosts, constantly answering questions. Would definitely come back again. Thank you !
I arrived fairly late (about 9:30pm) after about 20 hours of traveling. Found the key in the mailbox as promised and my room downstairs. Left two days later by leaving the keys on the table, having never met my hosts. Feels a bit strange, that.
Plus: The room is fairly basic but it works just fine for an unbeatable price. Comfy bed! WiFi worked great. Huge supermarket (Associated) basically just around the corner. Neighborhood always felt safe.
Neutral: I didn't use the microwave or fridge, so I won't comment on those except for their existence. I probably explored all the possibilities of getting lost on the way to the Subway, but I'll blame that on not paying enough attention, always trying a "better" way and no smartphone to navigate by.
Minus: Fairly thin walls mean you'll hear that the person in the other room (upstairs!) has a cold and is coughing all night. Hope she's feeling better now. Luckily I sleep easily, so this wasn't really an issue for me.
Overall, it was pretty much exactly what I was looking for. Accommodation for an unbeatably low price necessarily involves compromises - but here there were none that I wasn't expecting, and I've paid much more for much worse.
The room is exactly the description and photos. The location is very nice and safe. Over a 10-minute walk from the subway that takes in Manhattan.
One night it was really cold (the heating did not work), we warned Elvis who apologized and made arrangements quickly. Indeed it is very reactive. We would just love to see him physically.
The room and bathroom will deserve a refresh but for that price in NYC should not complain. Perfect for young travelers. I recommend
It was okay.
We chose it because it was cheap. And its good enough if you plan to be out all the time.
The bed was really bad though! and it was pretty cold in the room.
The good thing is that its only 20 min from Manhattan. It was clean and the microwave and fridge worked fine. Bathroom was clean most of the time.
2-3 blocks down its a very nice neighborhood, but right were the building is we didnt really like it.
Wouldnt book it again, but if you're on a tight budget its good enough.
Pretty close to the subway station and a really safe neighborhood. The hosts were very helpfull. The bed needs to be improved.
If you carefully read the room description and have a close look to pictures and consider the price you won't be disappointed. You get exactly what you see on the pictures and it is exactly how it is discribed from the host. I was a "third" guest and slept on a blow up bed like it was described and I felt very comfortable. We were out all day so we didn't miss anything in room. Metro is close like discribed. For all non us-residents: breakfast at „Belair Diners“ round the corner is an experience you don’t want to miss ;-) Finally I fully agree with the other guests review. Communication with host was great. Thank you!
