Very cool I rent an apartment in the most typical of Cadiz, "La Viña", on the same street Virgen de la Palma.
Located 3 minutes walk from the beach La Caleta.
Surrounded by restaurants and bars with a good atmosphere all year round. With supermarkets and grocery stores nearby. A few meters from the parking Valcarcel and one in the South Field. The apartment is on the ground floor with direct access from the street.
I very much enjoyed to stay in Rudy and David's beautifully designed apartment. The apartment was nice and clean. It was a pleasure to see the combination between 'old and new' of the apartment. It was quite close to the beach and lies (email hidden)ly street with restaurants en small shops. Rudy and David are a very friendly and helpful couple.
We had a lovely two days in Rudy and David's apartment! The apartment itself was very clean and well equipped and very nicely designed combining the old apartment with a very modern decor. Especially enjoyed the rainforest shower! Rudy and David were very friendly and helpful and recommended some places to eat. The small bar with the (website hidden) about 50m from the front door had the most amazing tapas and a very friendly barman!
We had a great stay at Rudy and Daid's Apartment. The apartment was ideally located; bars and cafes right out the front door! The ground level apartment was huge, clean and nicely furnished. The information provided provided by the hosts was was helpful and they had great tips.
Reviews previously mentioned issues with the hot water- this was fine, just takes a while to run through. We also didn't find it too noisy; some noise is expected when living in any an apartment.
It was a lovely place to stay. I'd like to go back for summer in Cadiz, the city has a nice vibe.
Excellent location. Beautiful and well equipped place. Rudy & David very helpful getting us settled.
David and Rudy are a friendly and humourous couple. They made us feel very welcome at the wonderful city of Cadiz. The appartment is well equiped and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. Cooking in the appartment is possible but there are so many good and cheap restaurants nearby. Just ask David and Rudy, they will tell you where to go. Thanks again for everything
Rudy and David were so charming and welcoming. They were waiting in the apartment when we arrived and had a complementary bottle of sparkling cider and cookies for us. The flat is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, and the location is fantastic (close to beach and right in the middle of a street known for its tapas bars). HOWEVER, there were three major issues we experienced during our stay that you should be aware of. 1) The Noise: the upstairs neighbors were atrocious--screaming, yelling, crying, singing, throwing furniture, stomping, etc. all through the night. Plus, their stairwell runs directly next to the bedroom, so I listened to people stomping up and down the stairs all night. Being a sensitive sleeper this was very stressful and a huge drawback for me. 2) NO HOT WATER: okay, so we had about a total of 3 minutes of hot water during our 2-day stay. Rudy and David made a big deal about telling us how there was absolutely no problem with the hot water, that it was all automatic--they have obviously had problems with it in the past and those problems are not resolved...rather misleading. We shivered our way through lightning-fast showers. 3) Internet: the internet is accessed through some weird hookup involving a USB drive and it constantly drops the signal. Very erratic.
Hello, for your knowledge , we believe it would have been much more elegant and less arrogant if the 3 points of your comment ye had written on the private side . But hey, everyone is free to do and say what I think. Answering these 3 points -

Regarding the noise you suffered from upstairs neighbors how many nights ? ¿1 or 2 ? I told (phone number hidden) times that if you had a problem " call me on the phone " you called me ? From the beginning I told you was a popular neighborhood.
Been called , sure we would have solved the problem with the man upstairs .

It's amazing that if the shower did not work , did not call me on the phone. With the previous guest was always hot water . I told (phone number hidden) times that if you had a problem " call me on the phone ."
And if we say that there are no problems with hot water, just at that moment no problems.
We like to look after our apartment and we do not need or like to lie .
So if you 've gone cold and has not enjoyed the shower, it's your fault.

Internet phones and even have difficulty in the apartment because its walls are very thick . But to say that a USB port is a strange mechanism ...........?
Once answered the 3 points , I want to know you have done in the house because 4 days after you have been there a very unpleasant smell.
My boyfriend and I stayed at Rudy and David's over Christmas 2013. When making the booking we mentioned that we were coming from a Muslim country (where we have been teaching for 2 years) and that we were looking forward to some Christmas cheer. Rudy and David provided just that - a fully decorated tree, trinkets, and Christmas goodies! The apartment is in a perfect location and has everything you could ask for: AMAZING kitchen, washer/dryer, wireless internet, comfy bed, privacy, and an overall luxurious vibe. Stay here and you won't regret it! Looking forward to seeing Rudy and David again soon! Thanks again, gentlemen!
David and Rudy were superb hosts with a superb apartment! They were extremely friendly and flexible in the days leading up to our stay, as we were considering changing the dates of our stay and were having trouble giving them a firm timeline. They were muy simpaticos and understanding of our difficulties.
Once we arrived in Cadiz and parked the car (pro tip: we parked in a garage, which was pretty expensive, but you can park on the street as long as there is no yellow or blue line on the curb), Rudy and David were in touch with us, and they eagerly ran out of the ground-floor apartment to greet us when we turned the corner onto their charming street. They gave us a tour of the apartment, and then told us a bit about Cadiz and showed us their mass of brochures about the city and recommended things to check out. We were exhausted from our travels, so they left us, but they were extremely accessible throughout our stay and very helpful in recommending places to eat and the way of life in Cadiz.
Regarding the apartment itself, it's quite large and very beautifully adorned and designed (Rudy is an interior designer). The one slight downside is that there are no true windows in the apartment. My guess is that it was, at one point, a store front since it has a door directly onto the street. There are two frosted-glass walls in the apartment, one in the bathroom and one in the bedroom, that open into the building's stairwell and a tiny atrium-like opening, respectively. Both of these frosted windows have Venetian blinds for privacy. That said, we didn't spend too much time in the apartment (and nor should you!), so who really cares.
I should emphasize that the location of this apartment is PRIME. We spent our first two days wandering the city looking for the best places to eat and hang out, and only on our third day did we realize that the best place was in fact right where we were staying! Across the street, there was a Peña (flamenco joint) and the cafe on the corner also had people singing flamenco on a Saturday afternoon. (To be fair, it's hard to walk down a street in Cadiz without heading the joyous song of the Gaditano flamenco.) Plus, 3 of the 4 restaurants in Barrio de la Viña recommended by Lonely Planet are on the same block as the apartment.
Overall, highly recommend!!
