The Turquesa Room is one of three private guest rooms available at The Casa Blanca, which is a vibrant, well-maintained and non-smoking home located in the historic Broadmoor neighborhood. Tranquility abounds in this peaceful space appointed with a king-sized bed, ample wardrobe storage, a reclining chair and ottoman, several large windows and wonderfully high ceilings. The Turquesa Room has temperature control devices (a ceiling fan, AC unit and electric heater) and a door lock for guests' comfort. (Bikes are available upon request)

In every corner of The Casa Blanca, guests are greeted by a delightful kaleidoscope of color, art and whimsy. Individuals, couples and groups (of 6 to 8 people) are invited to experience a festive and communal* space featuring: comfortable guest rooms, one full bathroom and one half bath, a spacious living room, full kitchen, dining nook and a rustic, outdoor patio. (*Excluding bedrooms, all areas of the property are shared among occupants.)

When you are not relaxing in your peaceful quarters or enjoying a proper New Orleans adventure, feel free to watch movies, play video games or chat with other guests in the shared lounging areas. The property’s bright and slightly tilted kitchen is fully equipped with the appliances and supplies needed to create or reheat a tasty meal, which can be enjoyed inside or on the secluded, backyard patio.

Close to Claiborne and Broad Streets, The Casa Blanca is located next door to The Monte Cristo in a revitalized community that hosts a second-line jazz parade nearly every Sunday afternoon. (See schedule below.)
To maintain a harmonious environment, we ask all parties to be mindful of others by keeping noise and personal items, particularly in shared areas, to a minimum. We look forward to welcoming you to our urban retreat and ensuring that "nuestra casa es su casa" during your stay in Nawlins. Please note:

  • Jay is really a great host and it was quite a pleasure to stay in the Turquoise Room at Jay's house. We had a couple issues waiting for cabs since French Quarter Festival was such a busy weekend, but on more than one occasion Jay offered to help us out which was above and beyond the call of duty.

  • We had a great stay w Jay! We felt right at home and he was always available when we had questions. The room was clean and comfortable! I loved the openess off the whole house. The colors were a nice fun decor. He even gave us a lift a couple of times to bourbon st.and joined us in some seafood boil we made. He really is a gentle, chill, laid back kind of guy. Thank u Jay! We will definitely be seeing u again on our next trip to NOLA!!! Aslo the rate was perfect for our budget! Easy access to all the fun areas and walmart was down the street! Thanks again Jay for all the help!

  • The place was awesome as was expected from the pictures. Jay is probably as good as it gets for hosting as he really made it feel like I was staying next door to an attentive friend. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Jay and his house were great. My boyfriend and I were able to come and go as we wanted, but Jay was also around to make sure everything was going ok or to offer advice on what to do in new orleans. While the house is a bit of the beaten path- it was really easy to take the bus into town and only a cheap taxi ride away at night. I would recommend it!

  • Jay's place was awesome! This was my 1st AirBnB experience and it was great! My girlfriend and I stayed at Jay's Mardi Gras weekend and had the time of our lives. We even made some new friends with our roomies for the weekend. Every time I go to the Big Easy I'm staying with Jay.

  • My stay at The Casa Blanca was absolutely relaxing and enjoyable. Jay is the most gracious host I have ever met. He even gave my fiance and I a ride to Bourbon street in his awesome truck called, "The Beast!" lol. Otherwise, the room was comfy, cozy and fitted all my needs. Definitely will book again!
