Giando Apt. w/ Sea View Balcony

Apartment - Entire home/apt · Via Malborghetto, Riomaggiore, Liguria 19017, Italy

Great views of the marina and sea with minimal stairs to climb (just 22!). Imagine yourselves sitting out with a glass of wine on the balcony, soaking in the culture and living like a local in Old World Italy. Yep, that can be you!

The Space

An apartment with a balcony with a very nice view of the marina and the sea! The apartment is located within the characteristic marina of Riomaggiore but with relatively few stairs to reach it (a rarity in this area!). The apartment offers a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a small back bedroom (ideal for children or teens) with two single beds, a bathroom (with a shower, sink, bidet and toilet), a small kitchen (with fridge, sink, four gas burners and an oven), a sitting room area with a divan as well as a table and chairs for dining, and a balcony with great views. While the balcony is not large enough to dine on, it is possible for two persons to sit out on it and enjoy a glass of wine. As this is an apartment like those that locals live in, there is no A/C (it's just not a part of the culture here).

It takes less than a minute walking to reach the seaside from the apartment and just two or three minutes to reach Riomaggiore's public beach (which is rocky/pebbly). To reach the apartment from the Riomaggiore train station it takes approximately five minutes walking. To reach the main street (where you can find shops, restaurants, bars, etc.) it takes just two minutes walking.

Please note that WiFi is NOT available in the apartment, but there are plenty of places nearby (bars, restaurants, etc.) that offer it.

As I have a toddler at home I ask that all guests please check-in prior to 5pm on their day of arrival. Thanks for your understanding!

  • WOW! what a location and view. Clean, comfortable space with a kitchen and fridge, and an AMAZING balcony view. Amy was very helpful showing me places to visit and hike when I checked in, which served me well during my stay. I wish I had spent more time here. Oh and eat at Dau Cila- right below the balcony, great food. Just a really great stay.

Clint, you were a pleasure to host and chat with! Thanks for being a great AirBnB guest. :) We hope to see you back here in Riomaggiore someday soon!

  • This was my favorite place I stayed at in Italy! The balcony is perfect, overlooking the harbor and all its activity. This apartment is literally in the post card of Riomaggiore which is cool to point out to friends when you get home. Perfect location as it has a great view and it has a private shortcut down to the harbor or a direct route into the center of town. The living space was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was a joy to have Amy as a host. She is fluent in both Italian and English and was very helpful and easy to get in touch with. She made some great recommendations for dinner and the best gelato place in Italy! Thanks again. We'll be back!

  • Amy is a great host and the property was perfect for mornings on the terrace. Views are what you see in the listing! The apartment was perfectly situated, although you will need to go up a number of stairs (everything is vertical in Riomaggiore so this is not unusual). Again, Amy took great care of us before and during our trip!

  • Amy's apartment was absolutely perfect and a great value. We spent several days here enjoying the view of the ocean and the town from the balcony. We cooked in the kitchen with food purchased from the little shop downstairs and spent the days hiking the beautiful Cinque Terre. I've never been happier with an Airbnb place for the value, the beauty and the accommodating host.

  • Stayed at this flat in Feb 2014 for two nights. Amy was easy to communicate with via email, texting, and whatsapp. She met us on arrival, arranged a parking space for our car, and walked us down to the flat. Spent some time telling us about the area and how to navigate the train to the different towns. She even called around to find a restaurant that was open for us in town this time of year. One bedroom has a queen bed, and one has two twins. Bathroom has a formal shower, no tub. Kitchen equipped with pots and pans and dishes for a short stay. Patio has two chairs and a small end table for enjoying sunrises and sunsets on the porch. You could even hear the waves crashing in the marina through both porch doors! We spent one day traveling to each of the towns. The weather was spectacular, and we had a wonderful time. Would stay here again. Grazie Amy!

  • Amy is a fantastic host and kept us informed even when it rained. The apartment is just as described, perfect spot to base from to visit all the villages. We'll be back when the weathers a little warmer for some treks!

  • Amy and Francesco were wonderful hosts for a stay that was magical. We had made reservations for 2 nights and immediately extended for another 2. The view is absolutely perfect and exactly what you see on the website. If you enjoy watching people as we'll as the sea and the marina, then this location is for you. It was the perfect place to visit all of Cinque Terre and to enjoy the hiking trails from. Riomaggiore's restaurants, bars, shops and stores were all very wonderful. If your dream of a stay in Italy is for an authentic, peaceful and relaxed visit this apartment will not disappoint. We will stay again some time in the future!

  • We had a wonderful stay in Riomaggiore and this apartment was a big part of it! The view is exactly what you see in the pictures, we felt so lucky to be able to see the harbor and sit on the balcony in the mornings or evenings to enjoy the view. Amy is very responsive to emails and helped us understand the train system getting into town; her husband Francesco checked us in and was also very helpful and friendly. The office and the apartment are both easy to find from the train station. We took advantage of the kitchen/stove in the apartment for a few meals, which also worked well and was easy to use. Thank you Amy and Francesco, we had a great time!
