Luxurious comfort in city center

Apartment - Private room · Bernt Ankers gate, Oslo, Oslo 0183, Norway

Spacious apartment with high ceilings, a new bathroom, design furniture, a fireplace and a big kitchen in the heart of the city. Just a few minute walk from Oslo S, Grünerløkka and museums. Great bars, restaurants and cafés in an immediate distance

The Space

The apartment is in a classic 1890s building. It is elegant and unique with a combination of modern and classic furniture. It has a great atmosphere with lots of character and it's perfect for relaxing in between sightseeing and going out for the evening, or if you prefer staying in with a book by the fireplace. If you have work to do, there is a desk in the room.

The room has a double bed with two pillows and duvets and a large empty closet at your disposal. Clean sheets and towels are provided. The bathroom is spacious with a heated floor and a large shower.

The kitchen is well equipped and it has a big table, great counters, and a dishwasher. In other words - great for cooking!

Guest Access

The kitchen and bathroom is shared, but the room is private. The room pictured is the room that is for rent.

Interaction with Guests

I love meeting new people and there tends to be great conversations around the kitchen table. I'll do my best to recommend my favorite restaurants, bars, cafés and whatever else you might be interested in while you're in Oslo. I will gladly assist with recommendations for activities, sights, restaurants, cafés, bars, concerts (in everything from clubs or concert halls) and how to best get around the city.

The Neighborhood

The apartment is an easy seven minute walk from the Central Station. There are countless options for restaurants, cafés, espresso bars, night clubs, bars, shopping, sightseeing, etc. in an immediate walking distance.

There are several parks in the area and the river with its idyllic paths is equally close. Grünerløkka, the Opera, the waterfront boardwalk and the new Food Hall is also only a few minutes away. In other words, you are close enough to have a busy day exploring the city and coming home to cook lunch or dinner, before you continue on your Oslo adventure. A great way of making Oslo affordable.

Getting around

There's a streetcar and bus stop right around the corner that takes you straight to the Vikingship, Fram, Kontiki and the Folk Museum. All the remaining public transportation choices are less than five minutes away. It's impossible to find a more central location.

  • it was a very pleasant place, very comfy and homely. the location of the place was very convenient, about 7 mins away from OSLO Sentral station.
I didn't get the chance to meet Brede, but he was very helpful and detailed.
    Highly recommended!

  • we spent a great time in Oslo at Brede's apartment which is a warm and strategic place to moor for few days /all the comforts of the city centre + the pubs of Grünerløkka just few minutes by walk. everything was easy and genuine during our stay, Brede is a gentle host and a mindful person. we would be happy to meet up there again : )

  • I stayed in Bredes apartment with my friend for three nights. His apartment was absolutely cosy and clean with good facilities. The location was totally perfect to discover the city of Oslo. Brede himself was not in town, but he arranged everything beforehand. All in all: absolutely recommendable.

  • We had a great stay with Brede. The room is comfortable and quiet, and the whole apartment was immaculately clean and well-organized. Brede has excellent design sense. He only seems to buy quality items. We enjoyed our time and hope to return one day. Also, this location is close to everything Oslo has to offer.

  • It was our first time using Airbnb & it was a really great experience. Communication with Brede was easy & straight forward. The room is spacious, very stylish and comfortable - actually the whole apartment & all the amenities are. Brede & his girlfriend are great fun & had some great tips for the city. I would recommend it to anyone travelling to Oslo who likes staying at a B&B.

  • After a really adventurous first day in Oslo we finally settled down in Brede's place. His apartment is clean and cosy -- I especially want to mention the big kitchen and bathroom, my sweet spots on vacation. Our private room was spacious and had everything we need during our 4 days stay. Brede and his friends downstairs at the book shop (you definitely have to check it out; we had a great time with the owner and his friends) helped us out to navigate through one of the most expensive cities in the world. I absolutely recommend this place!
