Nottinghamshire wildlife trust (SSSI) and Idle Valley 300m away a haven for nature lovers and home to hundreds of wild birds – and even recently, beavers! Great for walking, rambling and mountain bikers. Local village pub nearby and the market town of Retford a very short drive . Kingfishers literally beneath the lodge !

Welcome to our charming Eco Lodge, nestled within a private lakeside estate. Tucked away in its own secluded spot, it offers breathtaking views of a stunning lake, surrounded by lush woodland and thriving wildlife.
Kick back and relax in this calm and peaceful retreat, where our one-of-a-kind lodge provides the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.


Step inside and you’ll feel right at home. The lodge is filled with unique fixtures and fittings, carefully chosen to create a warm yet luxurious atmosphere.
The open-plan living room and kitchen have everything you need to cook up delicious meals and simply unwind. Throw open the doors, breathe in the fresh air, and listen to the soothing sounds of nature – it’s pure bliss!

Take in the fresh air, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings on the fairy lite balcony. Follow the steps down to the covered waterside deck where you can enjoy breakfast, feed the fish and ducks, or just sit quietly and read a book. It’s the ideal place to be mindful, meditate, and truly connect with nature.

No two days are ever the same at Wetlands. Nature transforms beautifully with the seasons, and you’ll experience a symphony of sounds and sights – from woodpeckers and migrating geese to swallows, kingfishers, and even owls at night.
