The Space

Located in Downtown Albuquerque, this 3-story town house/loft was built in 2008 and has high ceilings and tons of natural light. Within walking distance you can find...

Rail Runner train station
Convention Center

Your room is on the 1st floor and is about 300 sq. ft., 2nd floor is the kitchen (which is open to guests) and my room is on the 3rd floor. Your room has a full bathroom and lockable door, with large glass doors that open to the courtyard. There is free high speed WI-FI and a queen-size bed. The kitchen is clean, modern and nice to cook in. There is also a small balcony and living room space in the kitchen area.

This place is perfect for business professionals or tourists, looking for a good location to see Albuquerque from. I work close to the house, and am gone most of the day. I'm looking forward to hosting you!

Guest Access

You have access to everything in your room and the Kitchen which is on the second floor. There are also bikes you can use and I have a washer/dryer that is also available.

The Neighborhood

Neighborhood is very friendly and within walking distance of everything downtown. Great markets and restaurants are close.

Getting around

There is plenty free parking on the street and in the lot to the south. I also have bikes you can use free of charge.

Overall Guest Satisfaction

Check In
  • The location was great! I walked over from the Amtrak station and then was able to walk to cafés and shops. I did walk to Old Town and other areas as well but it was a bit of a hike, so I would recommend the bus or a bike if it is hot or you're not a walker. The room was nice and the bathroom is small, but adequate. Marvel the host pup is very sweet.

  • Xavier (email hidden) and the apartment is in an ideal location. Walking distance to basically everything in downtown, many restaurants and bars in the area. I would highly recommend this listing for anyone coming for a few days to Albuquerque.

  • Great experience.

  • I had a fantastic time with Xavier. He is (email hidden), really rolls out a red carpet and is always available to answer questions. The first night I was in town, he introduced me to a bunch of his friends and invited me out for a drink. In all honesty it is like staying with an old friend rather than formal accommodation. The room and amenities are as described, the location is great and his dog is the most well behaved pup I've ever met. Honestly no complaints and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in a great location, make new friends all at an affordable price!

  • Was in town for a cycling race and needed a place basically to serve as home base and to sleep--this was perfectly located, clean, and a great experience!

  • The experience was positive, but we were expecting our room to be a bit bigger even though the size was stated correctly. The pictures do make it look better than it is. The second floor was ours to use but it felt like his space and we stayed downstairs or out in the courtyard. No TV as in the pictures. No place to put clothes really and could have used a luggage rack in lieu of a plant. The shower was very hard to operate and very tiny. Xavier was great about recommending restaurants and asking if we needed anything. He was understanding that we were disappointed and decided to visit Taos for three nights and refunded us our money which was quite gracious. I think this loft is perfect for one person for a few nights, just not for an entire week. We stayed in Spain for the same price and had three times the space. This was only our second experience with airbnb.

  • I really enjoyed my stay at Xavier's place. It's in a good neighborhood and is an easy walk to restaurants, buses, the zoo, etc. The privacy of having my own floor (!) was a huge plus, as was Marvel's presence. And, of course, Xavier is super-nice (email hidden).

  • The flat was exactly as described if not even more spacious. We were greeted warmly by both Xavier and Marvel the dog, who very much enjoys gently chewing fingers and a good belly rub. Xavier was kind enough to allow us to do some laundry at short notice, which was greatly appreciated. We slept very well and the Flying Star Cafe nearby was great for breakfast the following morning. Shame we couldn't have stayed longer!

  • My stay was comfortable. Access to the home was simple and convenient which was nice considering a late evening arrival time. I would recommend staying at Xavier's home to others.

  • We had a great stay with Xavier! He made everything very easy, and (email hidden). We would stay again if our travels take us back to ABQ.

I'm a native of New Mexico, born in Santa Fe but grew up in Albuquerque. I like to travel. I work close to home and do Architecture for a small firm. I enjoy my job and I'm pretty active, camping, snowboarding, running, tennis, biking and anything else if the weather is nice.
