About this listing
We live in a 3 storey, 3 bedroom house on a quiet residential street and have a recently furbished loft conversion to offer visitors to Wimbledon and London!
The room is large, taking up the entire top floor, with modern features and an en suite bathroom, which has a bath with a ceiling mounted rain shower head, a sink and a toilet. The bedroom has a standard double bed with heated blanket for the winter months, as well as two bedside tables and a chest of drawers available for your use. There is also an adjustable height clothes hanging rail. We will provide you with 1 large towel per guest and the hand and bath mat towels for the bathroom.
You will have a kettle in your room, with tea, coffee and hot chocolate provided should you fancy a cuppa in bed!
There is a TV in the room.
You would be sharing the kitchen and sitting room with us and whilst we can't offer to make you breakfast due to work commitments, we stock the fridge and cupboards with continental breakfast supplies (this will include natural yoghurt, cereals, toast (or croissants) with jams as well as a fruit juice and tea/coffee) and show you where everything is so that you can help yourselves.
You are more than welcome to use the kitchen to make your own food at other times, we just ask that you clear up after yourselves. There will always be a good supply of tea which you are welcome to enjoy!
We have a bread maker and often put on a loaf to be ready and smelling amazing for when we wake up in the morning. If you like the sound of this please do let us know and we will pop on a loaf.
Of most interest during the summer months - we have a bench, four wooden chairs and a table outside on our decking which you may enjoy using. We recommend making the most of the early evening summer sun there with a glass of rosé in hand :-)
Other general facilities:
Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, small garden and electric piano. (all these are downstairs but you're welcome to use them)
If you will have a car with you and would like to park it on the street, we would ask that you give us at least 14 days' notice so that we can arrange a permit for you. Parking is unrestricted at the weekends but you need a daily permit for weekdays. We would ask you to cover the cost of this in cash on your arrival.
While we hope you will be attracted to our modern and spacious accommodation, it is often nice to know a little about the area in which you will be staying. Raynes Park is a growing but peaceful community in South West London. It is well-connected to the rest of London by major rail and transport links. It has a mix of big-name brands like Starbucks, Costa and Waitrose trading alongside some lovely independent shops, bakeries and restaurants.
The real selling point is its location. Raynes Park is only 20 minutes by overground train to London Waterloo, giving you easy access to all the great things Central London has to offer! We often walk to Wimbledon Village (to take advantage of the many excellent pubs on or near the Common) or to the town centre (retail therapy, cinemas etc), which takes 25 minutes, or 5-10 on a train or bus. We are also within reach of other great South West London spots such as Kew Gardens, the Chelsea Flower Show and Hampton Court Palace. If you like walking, Wimbledon Common is 15 mins walk and Richmond Park is 1/2 hour/40 mins walk away or 20 mins bus ride. We are happy to advise you of other things to do and places to visit!
We absolutely love it here and we're sure you will too!
20 minutes overground train to Waterloo (runs every 3-5 minutes)
57 or 131 bus from the end of our road: 10 minutes into Wimbledon Town Centre
57 bus from the train station: 20 minutes into Kingston
Be considerate and friendly!
If you use the kitchen, please clean up after yourself.
If you break anything, or if anything doesn't work as it should - please let us know.
Please don’t bring visitors without informing us in advance.
Please don’t make too much noise after 10.30pm.
Check in and out times are generally quite rigid due to our working hours, but we will be as flexible as possible on weekends and during Sophie's school holidays.
