Quiet & cosy room, giant balcony

House - Private room · Blancefloerlaan, Antwerp, Flemish Region 2050, Belgium

The Space

Hello!

I offer you a nice room (perfect for 1 or 2 people) on the first floor of a house, located in Linkeroever, on the left bank of the Scheldt river. The city centre of Antwerp, with many bars and restaurants, is just a 5 minute-subway ride away! Or you can walk there through the 'Sint-Anna tunnel', only available to cyclists and pedestrains, which will take you about 15 minutes.
The nearest subway and the tunnel are both only 100 metres away from the house, so you will be super-close to the city centre, and yet you will be staying in a relatively quiet and green area! The best of both worlds in Antwerp ;-)

There are 3 floors in our house: on the third floor is an office; the second floor is where we live; and a part of the first floor will be yours. You will have this to yourself: there is a cosy living room with TV, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher (although you will sometimes have to share the fridge with my husband - our own fridge is not enough for him :-), your own toilet, and even your own balcony. The shower and the washing machine are on the ground floor.
You can sleep in the sofa bed (perfect for two people) or on the big and comfortable couch, both in the living room. I will make sure that you have towels and blankets.

Linkeroever offers you a great view of the Antwerp skyline and has lots of nice and green places. The house is (email hidden)ly street, but at night everything is quiet. Next to my house is a bakery, and a supermarket is only one block away.

My granddaughter and I will provide you with lots of information about Antwerp.
You will have your own keys, so you can come home whenever you like.

If you are interested in this cosy room, with your own kitchen, balcony and private toilet: don't hesitate to send a message.

! Please book at least 1 week in advance. !

I hope to welcome you soon!

Best wishes,
Nana

  • Even if not in the old town, the location is very good to reach.
The house is very nice and the people are very welcoming.
Unfortunately, I had only a short time to visit Antwerp so we could not have so much contact.

About
My real name is Marie, but my children and grandchildren have called me 'Nana' since decades. I'm an 'eighty-something' (but with a young mind!) and I like piano music, cooking and reading. I've lived in Antwerp my whole life and am very proud of my city. Together with my husband, I live in a house that is actually a little too big for the two of us! We have our own living room, bathroom and kitchen on the second floor. We will be happy to welcome enthusiastic travellers in our house. You will have the first floor to yourself: there is a cosy living room, a kitchen (although you will have to share the fridge with my husband - sometimes our own fridge is not enough for him :-), your own toilet and even your own balcony. Of course I will be happy to get to know you, and to make sure that you have everything you need! (towels, blankets etc.) My granddaughter and I will provide you with lots of information about Antwerp. She is also the one who's in charge of this profile, because my computer skills are not that good :-) Best wishes, Nana
