Centrally located, within easy reach of many of Rome's most famous monuments, the bed & breakfast offers its guests the added bonus of spectacular views over the roof-tops of Rome from the bedroom windows.
Rome has a very big centre and we are inside it.
Starting from our B&B as long as you walk going to the centre there are so many beautiful things to see: 5 min. to St. John Cathedral, 15 to Colosseum and Fori Imperiali, 25 to Piazza Venezia and 40 to Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori, Piazza di Spagna and Trevi fountain... be sure you won’ t find it boring!
RE DI ROMA metro station is at 2 min. from our B&B.
Free WiFi access.
Guests can have breakfast for free using the kettle for tea or coffee and the fridge, or they can buy tickets to have breakfast at a good price in a bar near the B&B.
Guests will have the keys of the room and of the apartment: there are no curfew.
Some areas of the B & B are, however, shared with other guests and, therefore, you must be respectful of the needs of all.
At the arrive must be paid the tax of € 3,50 per person per night that we get for the Municipality of Rome (which is why it can not be included in the room rate).
Upon check-in, you have a password for Wi-Fi, a map of central Rome and directions on how to use the common rooms, refrigerator and kettle.
It's necessary to communicate the exact time of check-in because we do not have a 24/7 reception and we must organize to pick you to accept.
Writing to our email, you allow us to send you our "welcome file" with all the information you need to reach us.
Gianpaolo was very kind and welcoming. He oriented us to our room, the shared balcony, and shared bathroom. Neither of the shared spaces were ever an issue. Everything was very clean. I would recommend his place to anyone not only for his hospitality and cleanliness, but also the location. It's about a five minute walk to the metro, and even walking distance to beautiful basilicas, the forums, and the colosseum. Highly recommend :)
The apartment is fairly easily accessible especially from Re di Roma, Metropolitana Linea B. From there it only takes 5 minutes or so by walk.
I took the train from Fiumicino Airport to Roma Tuscolana, and it took about 40-45 minutes. After getting out of Tuscolana railway station, you go down the slope into Via Tuscolana where you turn right and go straight until you get to Via Casalmonferrato. The apartment is at the end of this street, up the slope. It's about a 10-15 minute walk.
As soon as I arrived and rang the bell, Gianpaolo buzzed me into the building where the elevator comfortably took me up to the 8th floor. Then he showed me around the house and gave me all the instructions and the keys.
The neighborhood feels very safe, with a lot of stores and a supermarket along the street. The bathroom was clean and tidy. The view from the balcony is just awesome. I didn't expect to see S. Pietro in the distance! Gorgeous. It is a perfect B&B! Thank you, Gianpaolo!
The host was very nice and precise information how to get there was very helpful. The place is in a great location, very close to the tube station and around half an hour walk to Colosseum which is very convenient. Neighborhood is fine too and the view from balcony is amazing. The room is overlooking busy street so it is a bit noisy but it is quite easy to get used to it when windows are closed. In general, very nice place that I would definitely recommend for a stay in Rome.
It's a nice place! Quiet and pleasant neighbourhood. the room is spacious, clean and lovely. It does have a view of the city. Metro is only 5 minute walk. There is the faous tiramisu place in the neighbourhood! All people in Rome knows about this shop. So, that's another advantage for people who have sweet tooth. Gianpaolo is very kind and very hospitable. I would certainly stay again if I come back to Rome.
Gianpaolo was very kind to me and my parents, the room was really confortable, the wifi was great and for that we had an amazing time in Rome. The room is really good located, the metro is near and is easy to go anywhere without spending much time.
Gianpaolo was a great host and we can not thank him enough for all of his help. We were having some issues with our computer connection to the WIFI and he did not hesitate to give us assistance so we could book our train and coordinate with our next host. The room itself was spacious and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The large balcony and bathroom is shared with the room next door which was vacant most of our stay. It was a pleasure to sit and enjoy the GREAT ROOFTOP VIEWS of Rome there. The LOCATION is GREAT if you want to be outside of the touristy area but still be very well connected. The area felt very safe and there was plenty of local shops and places to eat. The metro and bus stops are very close and they will take you to the heart of Rome in 20-25min. The room is on the 8th floor but the elevator will save you from the stairs (it is tiny, 2 people with 3/4 bags can just squeeze in). The only downside is that Rome can be fairly hot and there is no a/c. A fan is provided to help and you can open the balcony doors at night to cool your room and catch a nice breeze, but you will hear the traffic and noise from down below. If you are a light sleeper this may be a problem. Otherwise everything was great.
