Angel runs a small hotel with maybe 6 or so rooms that he rents out on AirBNB and hostelworld. When I arrived he kindly greeted me and oriented me to the area.
The first room he put me had wifi, but that didn't connect to my computer or to any of my apple products (something about wifi interference). Angel kindly moved me to another room after about an hour of troubleshooting.
The place is REALLY well located right next to one of Mexico's major subway stops that serves as a great hub for getting anywhere in the city. Condesa, Roma, and Zona Rosa (three neighborhoods with great cafes/bars/restaurants) are also all within walking distance.
The bathroom had a sink and a shower, but nowhere to hang clothes, towel or put soap or shampoo. The shower also rapidly changed water temperature... i think i spent about 50% of my time just trying to get the right temperature as it fluctuated between scalding and freezing.
My friend and I stayed with Angel our first week in Mexico City. We were having trouble with AirBnb management, but despite this Angel was super accommodating. Angel was informative and very helpful, and the place itself was spacious and well-maintained. What did it for us was the amazing breakfast every morning! We had a great time and would recommend it for people experiencing DF for the first time.
Excellent staff, delicious breakfast, and very clean! Our room was cleaned each day, new bedsheets and everything! Angel was extremely knowledgeable with information and tips about exploring Mexico City. Location was good, one block from subway and walking distance to bars/clubs/restaurants. I would definitely recommend!
