Description

Apartment with one double bed room, one bathroom and a living room with kitchenette and sofa-bed for two. Private garden with furniture.

A comfortable apartment with everything at your disposal: a fully furnished kitchen, wifi inside and outside, swimming pool, bbq area and a laundry room.

The apartment has a double bed room, one bathroom and a living room with kitchenette and a very comfortable sofa-bed for two.

The weekly change of linen is included in the price, and so is the swimming pool (which catches the sun's rays from dawn till dusk!).

You are welcome to savour the natural beauty and abundance of the 10.000 m² of green areas that are close to your apartments.
What is more, you can have a stroll through our 40-hectare park.
We are located on a crest, far away from the heat and the noise, immersed in a green, unspoiled countryside.
Here you can enjoy a breathtaking scenery, with magnificent views ranging from the Monte Amiata to Montalcino, to Pienza, and to the profile of the metalliferous hills; from the Trasimeno Lake to the Subasio; and from the Umbrian-Marchigian Appenine to the Cosentino.
Siena, Perugia, Arezzo, Florence, and Orvieto, Tuscany’s major cultural art cities, are only within an hour’s reach.
GPS:

We have a huge barbecue area with a big table and 8 chairs, where you can make use of juniper, cypress and pine wood for a grand barbecue. There is the laundry with the washing machine and soap, there is a children playground, the wifi inside and outside, the pool, etc.

The apartment has one book with some information about il Casalone and Montepulciano, about the Terme and markets, information about restaurants and places to visit, about the food, about the wine...
Anyway we are always at your disposal.

We are in the open country, on a very panoramic position, but with only 5 minutes by car you reach the towns Montepulciano (4 km) and S. Albino (3 km), where you can find everything you need.

The closer bus stop is 1 km far from here. From there the bus passes evry hal hour, to Montepulciano and to Chianciano - Chiusi Stazione.

Please note that the price doesn't include the Visitors' Tax (1,00 €/person/night, children under twelve excepted) and the Central Heating that costs 10,00 €/apartment/night (only if used).

Paolo is a perfect host. Our apartment was exactly as described, and with some nice added extras for breakfast and snacks. A wonderful stay!

I cannot recommend Paolo and the agriturismo highly enough. I was here at the end of March for a solo adventure to Montepulciano. I found the agriturismo so lovely that I only left the property on a handful of occasions. It is the perfect place to relax, read, reflect or spend time with family and friends. Their homemade goods (olive oil, honey, jams) are delicious and totally worth trying while you are there. And I recommend leaving some extra room in your suitcase to purchase some to take home with you. If you are wanting to leave the property I recommend having a car. It is walkable to Montepulciano and Sant'Albino, but the roads are fairly narrow. There is plenty of parking at the agriturismo and Paolo is most gracious with tourism help to find the places you want to go. I very much look forward to my next stay at the property and to seeing Paolo and his family again.

Paolo's place is truly a beautiful and well maintained accommodation near the town of Montepulciano. The cottage-esque apartment has a very well equipped kitchen which we fully utilised. Although we encountered an unusually windy period, his place is well built to withstand these elements. Though we wished it weren't as windy so we could enjoy the starry night by the pool more. Paolo kindly provided essentials like milk, salt, pepper, butter... he also provided a sampling of produce from his farm - olive oil, marmalades and honey (too bad no saffron, heh heh). We used the BBQ pit, it was fantastic! Paolo is easy to communicate with and we appreciated his comprehensive guide to the apartment and Montepulciano region which we enjoyed reading, very much! I shan't divulge too much but there are gems to be uncovered in his guide. It's nice to walk around Paolo's estate where there are olive groves, vegetable patches and incredible views. The photos don't do it justice. It does accommodate up to about 5 apartments, but we had the apartment at the end so that was really nice :) We imagine summer would be a nice time to come back. TIP: If you want to cook, find out when the market is at Montepulciano. It was on Thursday when we went (before 2pm), near the bus station near Via delle Lettere. Fresh food galore!!! And other things.

A truly special stay just outside of Montepulciano. Paolo was wonderful as was his location, local organic products and tips on exploring the area! Perfect location for discovering Tuscany!

Paola is a wonderful host. Unfortunately we got sick for a few days. Paola did everything he could to make us comfortable . We much appreciated having the heat, the English electric tea pot, and the home made honey for our tea. Il Casalone is ideally located in Tuscany and on a gorgeous ridge with unbelievable views. The apartment is charming, cozy and very roomy. The bed is comfortable and plenty of hot water for showers. We will be back when healthy to see Tuscany and definitely will stay at Il Caselone.
