  • The apartment was really nice, clean and spotless and just like the pictures described it. The location was great, within a short walk to the beach, Abbot Kinney, supermarkets and restaurants. So one wouldn't necessarily have to have a car. The airport is about 20 mins away. The street and surrounding area is quiet and seems to be very safe. Tiffany was readily available for any questions, she lived right next door but we felt that we had complete privacy. check in and out were seamless. We'll surely rent the place again should we be in Venice again. You really can't find a better value in this central Venice area.

  • This place felt like home. We had a very nice time at this place. Close to the beach and resturants and Tiffany and Janin were very nice and helpful hosts. We can recommend this place if you're going to stay in Venice.

  • We booked a last minute trip to Venice Beach for my boyfriend's birthday. Tiffany was very responsive and helpful during the booking and met us at the apartment when we arrived - even though we were several hours late. She gave us a few terrific recommendations for diner/drinks in the neighborhood. The location is really terrific. Only a few short blocks to the beach and shops. Easy street parking - even at 10pm on a Friday night. The location and Tiffany's great service are the only reason this isn't a 1 star review. Here is the downside and its a biggie. There is zero acoustic isolation between this and other units in the building. We heard the neighbor upstairs every single step...creaking...at 1 in the morning and beyond! It kept us from sleeping and was absolutely awful. Now I live in an apartment and am no stranger to urban life so there is a lot I will tolerate. Moving furniture at 2am when you're the upstairs neighbor is simply uncool. Janin apologized profusely and explained her son was cramming for finals. She also gave us a $50 refund (not great). While its nice that she apologized and gave some cash back, it doesn't mean that future visitors won't still hear every step, creak or TV noise from the person above. We were really looking for a nice, quiet weekend and ended up leaving sleepless and annoyed.

    Response from Tiffany & Janin:

I am truly sorry you heard all the noise from upstairs. However there are two bedrooms in the apartment, so you cpuld have moved to the other room where there was no noise from upstairs. I am so sorry that I did not know. I would have done something about the issue as soon as I knew.

I hope you will think about staying in one of our other apartments for a discount the next time you are in the la area.

  • Absolutely amazing! Firstly we arrived late and Tiffany was so welcoming and warm. Tiffany and Janin just let us be, trusted us fully in the space and allowed us to just enjoy our time. We experienced NO noise from above or outside - however we are a party of four from London, so maybe we are city deaf! We are all in our mid-late 20s. This is literally the best neighborhood (great vintage shops around!!). Lots of space in apartment and cute block!! The apartment was SUPER clean, lots of linen and even Trader Joe's bathroom products. If you are an environementalist this apartment is great. The apartment is also LGBTQQIA friendly, with gender neutral decor and even magazines to suit all lifestyles and tastes. The location is AMAZING. If we come back to Venice Beach we will not even consider anywhere else. Do not think twice, just book this apartment and turn up. No problems, no hassle. If you have a question or a problem Tiffany will go out of her way to help you, not that we did experience anything problematic, but we always felt we could go to her with any concerns should we have any. Thanks!!!

  • This was the first time I had booked through Airbnb so was not sure what to expect but what a pleasure this apartment was! Tiffany said everything was provided and she wasn't joking - I could have left so much back in England! The apartment was super clean and light and airy and the beds were comfortable and plenty of towels, even beach towels. It was close enough to Venice Beach to walk comfortably and I had no problem with parking. Tiffany and Janin were both very friendly and I would certainly book this apartment again.

  • This is a great place. Tiffany was an exceptional host, providing all the assistance we needed as well as complete privacy. It's blocks from Whole Foods, laundry, pharmacy, for all your day-to-day things. And, close to delicious and fun Venice restaurants on Rose Ave. We went to the beach every day, which is a nice walk down Rose. I walked home from Abbot Kinney, which was not too long, I wouldn't do it in heels though. We had friends over during our stay and it was really comfortable to be around the table. It's the perfect place if you are traveling with your baby, we needed to be able to hang out after she went to bed, and this place made that possible. It's really just a great Airbnb!

  • This was a nice property and Tiffany and her family were extremely accommodating. The location was perfect for us as we have family in Santa Monica and Marina del Rey. Parking was always available out front and Whole Foods is only a 3 minute drive.
Any issue or question we had was immediately tended to and resolved. A window wasn't opening properly when we first arrived and it was fixed within minutes. Also, the pack and play was missing a piece to set up properly and that was fixed right away.
I agree that the walls are a little thin so just keep in mind that it is an apartment. We had our twin toddlers with us but they sleep with a sound machine so they were not bothered at all by noise of someone walking upstairs. They slept great.
Tiffany also let us extend an hour after checkout time so that our kids could have a nap in the morning. Thanks for a nice stay!

About
Hi, I am from Venice, California. I am in real estate although I have worked in education also. I like reading, swimming (ocean), traveling, gardening, bike riding, dancing, Yoga. I am not a big party person - although I did go to Burning Man last year. That was quite an adventure!. I recommend it highly. Just drink lots of water and be prepared for the dust! I have two children, one just graduated from college and is now a software engineer in San Francisco and the other just started college in Upstate New York. I have 2 cats and an albino frog (an impulse buy at the pet store one day) and my brother's dog occasionally visits - with or with out the brother. Two years ago I took my kids to NY and we found a cool East Village apartment on (website hidden) but (website hidden) can be a little dicey so I thought I tried Airbnb this last trip. I had such a great experience with Airbnb in New York that I decided to list an apartment I have in Venice when I came back. My sister in law, Tiffany, lives in the same building and we are working on this project together. I was going to list books I like but that would be a really long list... How about favorite movie? Chinatown Travel - love Venice, Italy, and Paris of course, and Mexico. And Museum Island in Berlin. And tropical beaches, well, any mountain or beach, actually. And Horses. Tiffany is a hard working mom by day, and a knitter by night. I love going the extra mile to put a smile on our guest' faces. I am a 6 or 7th generation born in SoCal, on my Mom's side. I have 2 dogs, that I love to death! I am a homebody! I love baking and trying new gluten free foods! I am 100% obsessed with all things Pretty Little Liars! The only time its hard to get in touch with me is when Pll is on TV! My family comes first always! I am so happy being a mother to one amazing little girl, and I try to be the best wife I can! Having a close connection with family is really important to me! I went to a Waldorf school, so I like to think I can think out of the box, and I try to be as creative as I can be. I would love to go back to Greece and Germany. A dream vacation would be Fiji. We are friendly, flexible, knowledgeable and will try to answer any questions you have about Venice and the surrounding areas whether or not you book with us.
