The space
MOVIE REPLICA BATHROOM:
⊹ Step right into a classic horror film with our replica bathroom that really "Shines" complete with an axe in the door!
⊹ You can even stick your head through the door and recreate that infamous scene for a shareable photo-op!
⊹ The bathroom is fully equipped with modern amenities for your convenience and a hot shower. Shampoo, conditioner, & body wash along with a hair dryer are also provided for your use.
IMMERSIVE GHOSTLY SPECIAL EFFECTS (WITH AN OFF BUTTON):
⊹ During your stay, you may see & hear some strange goings-on as if the place is haunted by ghosts!
⊹ Elaborate special effects have been installed in the main living area of the cabin that flicker the lights, turn static on the vintage TV, & play ghostly sound effects! These effects activate randomly during your stay but can be turned off and on whenever you'd like with a single switch in the hallway.
BEDROOM FILLED WITH HORROR NOSTALGIA (AND DISCO LIGHTS!):
⊹ The bedroom is where you can immerse yourself in classic scary movie memorabilia! The shelves are filled with horror movie props and collectables, and the walls are covered with nostalgic posters and artwork!
⊹ Press the large green button on the wall for your very own Monster Mash! Disco lights & a mix of 7 different horror movie themes & scary songs bring the bedroom to life!
⊹ We encourage you to look behind every door and in every drawer in the bedroom to discover some fun "easter eggs" and hidden treats, especially designed for horror movie fans!
⊹ The bedroom has also been designed with your comfort in mind featuring a plush queen-sized bed, a closet for all your luggage, and charging stations on each side of the bed for all of your devices.
ESCAPE ROOM-TYPE OF EXPERIENCE:
⊹ During your stay, you can try to solve the mystery of the previous owner if you'd like!
⊹ Here is the storyline that you'll follow along with some clues to get you started:
The cabin's previous owner was actually our estranged Aunt Gladys. We haven't seen her since we were kids but always remember her being a little kooky.
We didn't know much about her, her life was shrouded in mystery and the occult. Rumors of her involvement in witchcraft and séances even began to spread among the Big Bear locals.
Aunt Gladys inherited this cabin in 1972. She decorated it to reflect the times and her unusual taste for the macabre.
She lived there with her son, Zachary; they were extremely close. Zachary was a massive horror fan, filling the bedroom with his collection of vintage movie posters, collectibles, and props.
Gladys and Zachary lived together happily in this very cabin for many years until one night when they seemingly just disappeared!
Nobody really knows what happened but neighbors reported witnessing strange lights, weird noises, and shadows moving through the woods that night. When dawn broke, our aunt and her son were nowhere to be found!
As their closest relatives, we inherited the cabin. We cleaned it up a bit but had trouble unlocking one of Gladys' cabinets. We invite you give it a try but you'll need to figure out the code word to open the lock. Gladys left some sort of puzzle with a clue to open the lock. Inside that cabinet has to be the answer to what happened to her and Zachary that night!
RETRO 1970'S LIVING AREA:
⊹ The living room is a time capsule adorned with retro 1970s decor infused with the macabre. This is where you'll experience the ghostly haunted special effects!
⊹ You'll have all of the comforts you need including an electric fireplace, comfortable seating for four, a 42 inch TV, and a charging station for all of your devices.
⊹ The sofa also pulls out into a comfortable queen-sized bed for an additional two guests providing sleeping space for a total of up to 4 guests in the cabin.
KITCHEN WITH COFFEE & POPCORN:
⊹ The cabin has a fully-equipped (albeit tiny) kitchen, where you'll find all the kitchen basics.
⊹ Coffee, cream, & sugar are provided for you to use with the coffee maker in the cabin.
⊹ We also provide popcorn and popcorn salt for use with the popcorn maker.
WATCH HORROR MOVIES:
⊹ No night in the cabin is complete without watching a scary movie and eating some popcorn—We provide both!
⊹ Horror movie enthusiasts will find a collection of spine-tingling films to enjoy. Curl up on the sofa with a blanket and some popcorn for a night of cinematic scares.
PLAY HORROR-THEMED GAMES:
⊹ Immerse yourself in a chilling atmosphere with the available Ouija board and a selection of other horror-themed games.
OTHER COMFORTS & CONVENIENCES :
⊹ A/C and Heat: The cabin is equipped with mini-split electric heaters and air conditioners to keep you comfortable any time of year.
⊹ Shed for Snow Gear: There is a lockable shed available for your use to store outdoor gear such as skis, snowboards, and sleds.

⊹ Our cabin is conveniently located near Big Bear's attractions, whether you're seeking outdoor adventures or exploring the town's charm. Enjoy close access to hiking trails, the lake, and the vibrant local scene.

This is a one-of-a kind experience that we lovingly crafted and are excited to share with you! As such, we please ask that you treat the cabin with respect and care as a lot of the things in this cabin are custom and handmade by us.
*This is an immersive experience featuring special effects, including sounds, flashing lights, and mysterious happenings. Please let us know in advance if you have any sensory sensitivities that we should be aware of.
*All special effects can be turned off at any time with a single switch in the hallway.
If you're a fan of goosebumps, enjoy the story with a side of imagination. If spooky isn't your vibe, no worries! The reality is a cozy, safe, and welcoming space.
The property can only accommodate a maximum of 2 vehicles. Please plan accordingly.
Please note that due to our picturesque mountain location, occasional weather related power outages can occur. We’ve taken measures to ensure your comfort should this arise, such as providing flashlights, a gas heater, etc. We hope you can embrace the cozy ambiance of our cabin if this arises and remember nature’s beauty sometimes comes with a touch of unpredictability.
