Interaction with Guests
We don't actually live in Jerusalem, so usually our interaction with the guests is by mail/SMS or phone. But once you arrive, you can contact Moshe - the house manager. He lives on the same floor and is extremely friendly and helpful. You can contact him if you want someone to greet you when you arrive and explain about the apartment/ building/ area or if you need assistance/tips.
Just go downstairs and you are in the heart of the city - a walking distance from cafes, restaurants an tourist attractions.
Bus and Tram stations leading to tall tourists attraction are right beneath the building. The central bus station (with buses leading to other cities) is a 15 minute walk away.
Other Things to Note
You do not need a key in order to enter the studio. Before you arrive we provide you with a code in order to open the apartment.
The building itself has 24 hour security/doorman.
There are two entrances to the building. The back entrance (facing Mordechai Aliash Street) is open 24 hours a day.
The front entrance, facing King George street is open until 4 PM.
There is a parking lot in the underground floors of the building - for extra charge (around 15 NIS an hour). This parking is practical when you arrive with your suitcases but you cannot leave the car there at night. There are plenty of parking lots in the area, including on Mordechai Aliash Street - facing the back entrance to the building. A 24 hour parking is around 90 NIS.
There isn't a laundry machine in the building itself, but there are laundromats near by (for instance, on Hanagid Street number 5).
Treat the flat as it was your own....
Please Note: No smoking or pets allowed in the apartment. .
We had a great stay. The apartment was wonderful and perfectly located. The building is clean and convenient, and the provided cell phone was extremely helpful. Although we did not meet Liora in person, she was very nice, available, and responsive. The view was fantastic, and the apartment was fully equipped with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this place.
This is a very convinient place to stay and the suite was clean and everything was thought of. The bed was comfortable and the view is spectacular.
There ist only one thing: The walls are thin. We were lucky, the people next to our place slept when we slept ;).
If you can live with this, it is a very good place to stay.
I thoroughly enjoyed my five nights in Liora's apartment. The location couldn't be more convenient. It is small but very well designed and comfortable. Liora provided a cell phone and several helpful suggestions regarding restaurants and the neighborhood. I would love to return.
My husband and I would like to thank Liora and Moshe for our stay. We were thoroughly satisfied with the apartment and the area. We were surprised to find a blowdryer and a clothes iron (with a steam setting!) in the apartment - I was so happy because I forgot mine at home! The apartment was very centrally located, next to tons of busses and taxis. We rented a car because we needed to travel across the country at breakneck speed (we were only there for a few days). If you're not familiar with the area, parking is a bit confusing at first, but after a day or two, you get the hang of it. Always ask Moshe or Liora, they will guide you to the right place. If you do not need a car in Jerusalem DON'T USE ONE. Travelling with a car is SO COMPLICATED!! We had one tiny problem when we stayed there, not worth mentioning in the review because it was so quickly and efficiently dealt with that it left us thoroughly satisfied and will never affect guests again. The phone that they offered guests worked wonders and saved us so many headaches. This was the reason why we chose this place and, to this day, one of the biggest reasons why we don't regret staying here. The phone and the beauty of the apartment really made our stay amazing. Thank you to the both of you and looking forward to staying here again!
This was a fantastic apartment. Small, but I didn't need a big apartment so it was perfect. Couldn't ask for a better location, and everything was clean and in order. I had trouble getting in but called the apt manager who lives on the same floor and he arrived within 45 seconds. I would highly recommend this apt to anyone who wants a great place to stay.
There were positives and negatives. The apartment is affordable, by Jerusalem standards, but quite small. It is very-well situated, and the bed is very comfortable. There were some issues with hot water from certain of the taps, and sometimes you could hear conversations and TV from next apartment. One of the biggest positives was Liora's readiness and responsiveness to solve any problems that came up.
Предупредительная хозяйка Liora и управляющий Moisha.

In an ancient Jerusalem stone house near Mahane Yehuda market is the much loved Hamotzi restaurant that serves authentic and comforting homemade food at affordable prices.
Tucked away into one of the tiny aisles that cut between the two main drags of the Machane Yehuda marketplace this is a great place for coffee and homemade pastries.
Tiny restaurant at the end of the Iraqi Shuk. Serves excellent soups and stewed meats. Extremely popular with the lunch crowd. A bit hard to find but you can ask around.
Betzalel Cafe has cosy indoor seating or offers al fresco dining on the trendy pedestrianized part of Betzalel Street. The cafe is popular with art students and other creatives.
A chef restaurant situated one minute away from Jerusalem's Mahane Yehuda market.
The closeness to the market is also apparent in every dish....
Of the few places open Friday night, set in a beautifully renovated old building, reservations are a must. Great food and atmosphere, a bit pricey but it is worth it.
Open for dinner only....

Classic European style Cafe, offering a dairy, homemade menu - voted as "Top 5 Coziest Coffee Shops". Reservation recommend(phone number hidden)nds (02-6254210).
A small and endearing theater tucked away in the German Colony. Screens one artsy movie at a time. But what makes the Smadar really special are the café and bar situated in the lobby.
