The space

It is a fully renewed 40 sqm 2-level studio on the first floor of an ancient building in the heart of Trastevere, one of the most characteristic and oldest areas in the city centre of Rome.
At the lower level you will find a livingroom with a wide sofa-bed and the modern fully equipped kitchen, with gas fires and oven. The bathroom with shower box is very full of light. At the upper level there is a double bed and a large closet.
In the Trastevere neighborhood (loved by both locals and tourists) you will find medieval streets and dwellings full of shops, restaurants and bars. Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori, Circus Maximus and Piazza Venezia are all about 15 minutes walk away. Colosseum and Vatican are about 25 minutes walk away.

I've been to Rome many times over the years and Trastevere may be my favorite neighborhood to stay in when I'm there. It's full of excellent dining options and shops, popular among both Romans and tourists alike, but still not overrun with tourist crowds like other areas in the city. This apartment is located in the heart of Trastevere where the streets close to traffic and outside dining is everywhere. The historic center of Rome is just a short walk across either the Ponte Sisto or Ponte Garibaldi, affording easy access to Via Giulia, Campo de' Fiori, Piazza Navona, and so on. The apartment is located on the courtyard side of a quiet little street so noise is not an issue at all. It is a little small and somewhat dark because of the courtyard location and limited windows, but for me it was a place to shower and sleep since I'm mostly out and about when traveling. One significant issue to be aware of here is how low the ceiling is in the lofted bed area. We are 5' 7" and 5' 4'" and we both hit our heads a number of times on both the beams and the ceiling itself. I walked totally hunched over up there to try to avoid it but still inevitably hit my head. It is really just an innappropriate height to expect someone to deal with and my girlfriend still has headaches a week later from hitting the lower steel beam. Jane was great with communication and we arranged a driver to pick us up from the airport and bring us to the apartment, which is totally worth the 50€.

First of all, Jane and Alessandro were extremely accommodating with my friend and I as our travel plans kept changing with delayed flights, etc. which was so helpful when traveling in a new city. The location of this apartment is perfect, right in the center of a cool area of Rome, Trastevere, with lots of restaurants, bars and pleasant walking streets all around. Entering and exiting the apartment was safe and easy and the apartment itself was well-maintained and clean with fresh towels and toiletries. Check out was super smooth as well, I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome!

My daughter and I had a wonderful 3-night stay at Jane's (URL HIDDEN) a cool, comfortable and quiet apartment, yet it's in the middle of one of Rome's hottest nighttime hangout neighborhoods...also, it's within walking distance of many of The Eternal City's most famous tourist attractions...Jane is a very good communicator and her assistant, Alessandro, did a fine job of getting us settled in when we first arrived...grazie and bravissimo!

The apartment was centrally located to all the main attractions of Rome and the neighborhood has a great night live and is quite pleasant. Owner was responsive to any questions we had and met us promptly as we arrived. We would return if in Rome again!

This place was perfect for us during our time in Rome. We were able to walk to Vatican City, the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. Air conditioning worked great!! We felt safe and really enjoyed our time. Jane was easy to communicate with and had lots of restaurant recommendations for us! Nightlife was fun. Lots of restaurants nearby. We highly recommend her place and would stay here again.
