Hello, welcome to our studio apartment. It is in a fantastic location at the very heart of central London.
You will have own big kitchen and shower room.
The closest tube stations are Tottenham Court Road, and Holborn, both are 5 mins walk away. The flat has broadband, and also has a washer, dryer.
I used to run my guesthouse on this very street, so know the area very well. The flat is right in the heart of London, so it is difficult to pick out any one place in particular that you must visit. But for eating out my favorite is Old Compton Street, one of the first places in London to start serving food late at night. The British Museum is at the heart of Bloomsbury. Historically, Bloomsbury is associated with the arts, education and medicine so the area sets a sophisticated and modern atmosphere. The Bloomsbury theatre , a very respected theatre within the eyes of Londoners; is located within the area.
Locals to the area are spoil for choice with restaurants, bars and clubs being within feet of each other. The location is amazing! C

Excelente ubicación! La anfitriona fue excepcionalmente atenta y paciente con nosotros.
Sadly I must agree with some of the earlier comments that this flat is not as per the photos. Starting with the positives, the key system worked perfectly, the bed was reasonably comfortable and the location is great.
The flat however would be a "hostal" rating if ranked by hotel standards. Sadly it also did not appear to me to be clean, the floor being full of hair. The rugs also looked old and grubby and in need of replacing. It's a basement turned into a room, and smells damp. Furniture is cheap and radiators drawn in. To be honest it needs an overhaul. For the price, a hotel would have been a better option.
To be fair, Maggie did clean the floor thoroughly after I pointed out the hair and was kind enough to leave chocolates and flowers.
In summary, it seems safe, bed comfortable and location great. If you are ok with hostal style and cannot find a cheaper hotel, this flat serves a purpose, although overpriced.
I needed a room for three in London for a few days which was convenient to explore around town and this place was spot on for that. A good space with what we needed, beds, shower etc. Maggie is a great host, provided all the details I needed in advance and also managed to greet us when we checked in. Thanks Maggie!
Maggie was a delight. The area was perfect - just around the corner from the British Museum with a great place for breakfast around the corner too. The place was just fine for me and I'd stay there again: we had the basement unit which was very, very quiet. A twenty minute walk to the theatre district was a special bonus.
the whole experience was poor.
Maggie leaves the keys in a box by the front door which is accessed through a pass code. She doesn't seem to know that airbnb do not allow you to send numbers in text messages as they don't want landlord and tenant to be in direct communication and therefore be able to cut out the middle man.
Maggie sent me the passcode via airbnb's system and I received "The code for the box is ..... sent from my blackberry"! This continued until late at night when I finally got the code through. On opening the box there was no key!!! fortunately a tenant opened the door for me.
the basement flat itself was not as depicted as in the photo. Where the nice table is was an unmade bed with maggie's stuff dumped on it. You cannot stand up in the shower (which isn't really a shower at all, but a bath tub). The radiator has been coloured in by a child. There are signs of rust in the bathroom.
I could go on. But I'd love to know what airbnb does for its slice of the profit above and beyond making the market. Their address is San Francisco, CA. Does anyone inspect these properties before advertising them? Come on guys, fess up!!
I booked this for my work collegue. Hanane, who reviews her experience here:
"It was great staying in Maggie's flat! It was very well located (2 mins from the British museum ) and in a very cute street of central London. My studio was pretty big for London standards and I have slept there like a baby…. I would only say that if you are looking for something very light this studio was not exactly the best match, but for me it was perfect. I have really enjoyed staying there for 5 nights (work travel) and most of all Maggie was an absolute delight:-) She has been very attentionate and helpful in everything. I will definitely recommend and come back !
Very easy to have information about the logement from Maggie, she respond very quickly !
A very good situation to visit London et a very quiet neighboor !
Maggie was very helpful throughout the entire stay in the apartment. She allowed us to leave our luggage before the room was even ready! I would recommend Maggie!
The appartment was perfect. The location couldnt have been better, near two centered metro stations. Maggie left everything arranged for our arrival. I highly recommend it
Maggie's Bloomsbury flats are in fantastic place, LRB Bookshop is just at the end of the road, British Museum is behind the street. Maggie is an extraordinary, friendly person. We have stayed in the basement flat for 6 days and Maggie was always there to ask us if we need anything. The flat had every basic needs. We all wanted to stay in the centre cheaply, and we did. Than you get British Museum, intellectual life, night life and the wanderlus for free. Thanks Maggie.
