-If you like to run/bike/or just enjoy being outdoors, you are in luck. Our house is a block away from the pan handle park. If you want the real deal, then just walk down three blocks and find yourself at the start of Golden Gate Park, where there are multiple museums (Academy of Sciences, Flower Conservatory, etc) and year around events. Always something to do here!
-If you are a fan of water, then a quick 15 minute drive away is the Pacific Ocean, where on warm and yes even cold weekends, people can be found lounging, surfing, swimming, etc!
-A bike rental place is a few blocks down, so this is another fantastic way to explore the city on a bike. You can put your bike in the back yard or the garage.

Yes! Walk up one block to Haight Street and you will find the many Bus lines heading to downtown or towards Ocean Beach. The beauty about being located centrally is the easy accessibility!

Great accommodation! Lovely house! Close to everything we wanted to be close too!
Everything went well. The communication with the host was good. The neighborhood was great; good to see the hippies still holding down the corner of Haight and Ashbury. Room was clean and so was bathroom.
The area around The room is Reall pretty! Nice cute Shops Anf a good way to get into The City. We stayed at room 1#. Unfortunately it was in the basement so there was no light at all. It was so dark and really smelly. The kitchen was good but the if you took a shower the whole bath was under water. I'm sure the other rooms are better but ours was really dark. Okey of you just Need to stay one Night.. But The City is beautiful And The neiborhood is Perfect
Slight confusion here in that when we picked up the keys there were two sets in there - and neither of them seemed to work, leading us to worry that someone might have mistakenly taken ours. We retired to a local hostelry, called and messaged our host but received no answer (we never did!). Heading back to the property to try again we managed to open one lock, and then the very stiff second lock. We were finally inside. Unfortunately the bright pictures posted here don't truly represent this dark apartment. It's a bit gloomy and those shots were also taken a while ago - the ugly empty light fitting in our room wasn't even installed at that point, the ceiling being fully white.
The reason to stay here is the location. It's within walking distance of Haight/Ashbury and everything that comes with that. Amazing. But we'd recommend these digs to people who will be out enjoying the city and just using them as a place to crash, which was what we did.
Ashir is the best host. We have stayed with him several times and we are always pleased. This time we stayed in rooms 1 and 2 and had the whole place to ourselves. Everything was very taken care of and he did his best to accommodate all of our needs. We will continue to stay with Ashir in the future. Plus his location is idle for those that want a genuine SF experience. The Haight is a great place to stay with plenty of bars and restaurants.
The room was adequate and both husband and wife were very welcoming. Location is great and very easy to get just one bus into downtown if you so wish!
Didn't get a chance to meet him, but he communicated well and the place was in a perfect location for us. No complaints.

About the Host, Ashirvadam
I live in the building with my wife. I work as a hospice chaplain and my wife a teacher and we both work in the city. Our two adult children are studying medicine on the East Coast. I love getting to know new people, love traveling, enjoy cooking spicy Indian food for my family & friends, love watching sports on TV and listening to music on the radio. I love helping people in their most vulnerable times and that is why I am a hospice chaplain. My life's motto is 'life is an adventure-live it to the fullest while you have it'....
