Sabrina was a great host and showed us around the apartment when we arrived. We came in a bit later than anticipated so we had to pay a late check in fee of 20euro. The house was a very nice old house relatively close to the centre of Florence and was nicely decorated. The two be…

Unfortunately, in a medieval and Renaissance city, as Florence is, parking could be difficult, especially if you choose an apt in heart of the city. Those who live in Italy knows it. Two are the best solutions: coming by train or plane; or lodging far from all florentine places of interest… However, as anyone can verify on (Hidden by Airbnb) maps, the garage Porta Romana (Via de’ Serragli 212, not 221 as Martin writes), that I suggest to my hosts, is really around the corner. The guests, who decide to park there, can directly reach the flat by car to unload their luggages. After parking, with their hands free, is it a problem for them walking few steps in the neighborhood, to come back from garage? About air conditioning, on the ad we explain that the flat no needs it because is naturally fresh. I m sorry for broken fan, unfortunately I saw it just when Martin and his guests arrived, for this reason I told him that I would come back the next day to repair it and so I did, but his guests told me that they just repaired it. So, now it is not very kind writing it on the review… About toilet paper, it seems a joke… when I show the flat to Martin’s friends I show everything and EVER I say to every guest to text me if they need anything, but I don’t receive messages or calls… Finally, about tourism tax it’s no possible include it in the airbnb price because not all people pay it (for example children younger than 12 years don’t pay). However, neither tourism tax to pay at check in time (as ad says) has been a problem for Martin because, as he hadn’t cash at the check in time, he paid it when I came back the next day for repairing the fan.
The apartment was lovely. It truly is just a minute walk away from the Boboli Gardens. Please be advised that there is no free parking on the premise (even though the listing shows free parking on the premises) and you will be forced to park in a garage which requires payment o…
