Spacious, charming apartment in street with great food shops, butchers, fishmonger, bars, restaurants. The three bedrooms look on to a quiet courtyard. Perfect for a couple or for a family.
The apartment was entirely renovated three years ago, with the help of a wonderful architect. It has parquet floors throughout. One spacious double bedroom, one room with a very comfortable double sofa bed, and one child's bedroom with a bed big enough for an adult (I have slept in it on occasion and I am six foot tall).
The spacious living room has large French windows that open onto a balcony running the length of the building's facade. It has a widescreen LCD television with a great choice of DVDs provided.
The full open kitchen can be closed off or left open to form a single space with the living room.
One bathroom with tub and shower. One separate toilet.
Internet/wifi, free phone calls to most European countries and to North America (but NOT to cell phones, please!)
Rate includes bed linen and bath towels.

We had a fantastic week at Rory's apartment. We were a family of 5, full grown adults and it was perfect. A great location, in a buzzing and interesting street. Rory provided great local information and we rode the Paris bikes everywhere, there are lots of stations right near the apartment. The apartment has character, with some creaky floors and nice a spacious living room with doors opening onto a balcony looking over the street. We were coming from a week at the Olympics watching my brother compete with the Australian team where he got a bronze medal. Rory put a bottle of champagne in the fridge for us to celebrate on our arrival. We felt very welcomed and would recommend that others stay here too! Thanks Rory.
Rory's apartment is large, comfortable, nicely decorated and well-located. The neighbourhood is less touristy than some (i.e. Marais / left bank), which may or may not appeal depending on what you are looking for, but is an easy walk to many of the top sights. There is a metro station a two minute walk away and plenty of good food shopping on the street. There is a lot of action on the street at night but the bedrooms are quiet. Rory was an excellent host who kindly left us with milk, cereal and a bottle of wine to get started.
very very (very) nice appartement,
we've been 2 adults and 3 kids and it was very confortable
it is central and different train stations are nearby
next trip to Paris we would definitly stay there again
thanks again to Rory
Great place to stay when in Paris. Huge apartment with a great balcony overlooking St. Denis. A block away from the metro and in a very eclectic neighborhood. Rory was very helpful and even provided maps of the city in case we needed them. Would definitely stay again!
I and my two friends had a great stay at Rory's place. No problems at all checking in or out. Very spacious and comfortable (and great shower). We loved the area and the local restaurants (check out a nearby place called Le Pas Sage); very much a non-tourist neighborhood and so much more like what Paris is really like. Also very close to the Metro and so very easy to get to all places in Paris.
If I come back to Paris I would definitely stay here again.
Spacious light apartment in a great foodie area of Paris - terrific for a family. Rory and Marianne were a pleasure to deal with.
The place was just great. Big enough for a family of 4-5 people, even more. There are several food stores just around the corner and just a couple of hundred meters walk to the closest metro station (Chateau D'Eau). The location is relatively central (10th, but close to 3rd). We managed to walk everywhere we went.
The apartment was in a very good condition and furnished with a very good taste (phone number hidden)'s style). That affected pleasantly our holiday.
There is a wide balcony in the kitchen-living rool area. We loved to listen to the Paris nightlife from our own living room while drinking some beers. The bedrooms are on the other side of the house, so the noise from the bar won't bother your sleep.
If I have to point out one minus, the kitchen could be a little bit better equiped. I think the owner enjoys more eating out. :-)
Rory's apartment was a great place to stay in Paris. It is very quiet in the apartment, but you step our the door and there is a bar with a very friendly barman. A great place for an evening drink before wondering down the street and choosing a place to eat for the evening. Also a choice of bakeries close by for breakfast in the morning. The apartment is also close to a choice of tube stations or even the possibility of walking to Notre Dam if you are inclined that way.
My parents had a great stay at Rory's beautiful apartment. It is very central and a very nice and cosmopolitan area. The street is busy and full of cafes and commercants, but the bedroom is quiet. Short but very pleasant stay. I recommand it! :)
