Great location and comfortable apartment. Compliments to host and onsite management team. We had a minor issue with a hair dryer but we got a new one almost immediately. Otherwise everything was just as described in a review and Wifi was very strong.

Very nice place and well located. May still be a bit steep on price though.

I was staying in Rome for a week with a friend (19 and 37), even though we originally booked for 3 people. We spent most of the time out of the apartment in the city, but had some meals in the apartment and spent one whole morning there when I wasn't feeling well. I'll break this down into sections! This is a genuine review and I hope it doesn't get misinterpreted for the wrong reasons. The good: - The location of the apartment is absolutely fantastic for all of centro storico and all the "touristy" things one would do in Rome in a few days. We walked everywhere (all the piazzas, colosseum, vatican, everyhwere!) The metro is close, and there's a bunch of nearby bus stops. Even more, contrary to what one might expect from such a central place - it's an extremely quiet street, in a safe and secure building which looks well taken care of from the inside. - The housekeeper's husband greeted me upon arrival and showed me around, and he was lovely, and all of them were very accessible on airbnb/email/(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN). - The apartment really does have all that is described - excellent wi-fi (rare in Rome!), equipped kitchen, bathroom, AC... The not-so-good: - The photos, as expected, look much better than the actual apartment, which feels a bit fragile (ceiling is damaged by moist, some flimsy tiles/hardwood and squeaky door). - So the owner of the apartment is Jimmy, his local rep is Nicola, and the housekeeper is Daniela, whose husband seems to greet all arriving guests. That's a bit complicated and they all use different communications (airbnb, email, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), respectively). The owner is not around and he knows the least, and he's the only one who uses airbnb, so if you want to have conversations officially on the record, than you have to go through him and hope that the others don't write to you elsewhere, which will happen, and as convenient as it is in the moment, it's really not good in case you need to go through airbnb for any issues. - The AC really is right above the bed upstairs (as some other reviewers noted), so it gets cold very specifically there, and the rest of the house remains hot, and the machine itself is very, very loud. The most complicated part is that there's no instruction manual for its use. To some of the other reviewers the owner suggested using the fan provided, which we tried, and frankly it's not very useful in Rome in August. Maybe get a better AC and/or set up two machines, one for each floor. - The shower pressure is horrible (takes forever to wash out), and the drain is not cleared. The pressure issue is probably due to the fact that the apartment is on the 5th floor. Still, sweating as much as you do here during the summer, there has to be something that can be done to fix this problem. - Finally,...

Response from Jimmy:
Thank you Bes for the review that is always useful to improve the accommodation offered and to resolve problems for future guests. I would however like to point out that the photos and the description are exact. An Airbnb professional photographer took the pictures!. I own more than one apartment in Rome and I need help, it is of course my intention that my guests are happy and feel comfortable during their stay, and for this reason there is one or more persons who is always available for any problem during the stay, reachable on her mobile phone or by email. I hope you will be my guest again if you come back to Rome. Best Jimmy

The apartment was on a quieter side street, but not far from the action. It was great the building had an elevator. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for staying a few days. We made the mistake of leaving candy in the bedroom on a table, and had a few ants. We had some in the kitchen too. It was not an issue but something to be aware of. The place was great and we would stay again.

Had a great stay at Jimmys! Location was central and perfect in a very lovely area. All exactly as expected. Fold out bed was very comfortable too. The check in was all done very professionally however we had to pay an unexpected tourist tax upon arrival (we looked it up and it's legitimate and was listed on the AirBnB listing just a bit hidden). Never got to meet Jimmy but Michael was very helpful! Grazie
