The Eagles Nest: Lakeside Glamping Adventure
The Space:
Discover our tranquil lakeside property on Shallow Lake. You'll be staying in one of two campsites that offers direct and flat access to the water, setting the stage for a memorable glamping adventure filled with relaxation and recreation.
The Eagles Nest Tent:
Dominating the space is our expansive 16x25 tent named "The Eagles Nest." Inside, you are greeted with modern conveniences like A/C and an electric heater, ensuring comfort no matter the weather. You'll find a comfortable king-size bed, a sleeper sofa for additional resting space, and a dining area with a table and chairs. The kitchen hutch is equipped with a Keurig and toaster, and the full fridge offers filtered water and ice in the door. A folding memory foam mattress is available, allowing the tent to accommodate up to five guests with exceptional comfort.
Outdoor Amenities:
Nothing is shared on the property besides the beach area and dock. Each campsite comes with its own private shower house with sink and a clean portable toilet. Enjoy a private relaxing cedar sauna with propane heat. It also includes a dedicated outdoor covered cooking area which features a propane grill with side burner, pots and pans, large electric skillet and all the essential cooking supplies you might need from breakfast to dinner. This includes knives and cutting boards, mixing bowls, measuring cups and spoons and a can opener.

We strive to provide our guests with a relaxing and convenient experience. That's why we offer all essential amenities, including comfortable bedding and pillows and bath, sauna and beach towels. Additionally our kitchen hutch is fully stocked with plates, bowls, cups, coffee mugs, eating utensils, paper towels and many kitchen essentials to ensure you have everything you need for meal preparation and dining. We also included facial tissues and cleaning wipes. Our goal is to make your stay as effortless as possible, so you can focus on enjoying your stay.
Recreation & Leisure:
Beyond the tent, a covered deck furnished with patio seating awaits, offering a comfortable perch to sip morning coffee or stargaze. Nights here are magical; light up the fire pit with an abundant supply of firewood to share stories and roast marshmallows under the vast starry skies. Swim in the pristine waters of Shallow Lake from our shared beach and dock area. The sandy beach with crystal-clear water stretches out into the lake, gradually declining. At the end of the dock, you can experience the soft touch of pure sand at waist height, and this continues as far as you dare to venture into the lake.
Boat Landing and Fishing:
If you are bringing a boat, please use the public landing to launch, and feel free to use the dock to park your boat during your stay. The boat landing is conveniently located just 1.5 miles from the property, making it easy for you to access the lake and enjoy all it has to offer. Shallow Lake is known for its great fishing opportunities. With a variety of fish such as walleyes, crappies, bass, and northerns, the lake provides a fulfilling experience for anglers of all levels.
Activities & Fun:
Explore our tent shed, which houses an array of lake toys and yard games. Choose from kayaks and paddleboards for aquatic adventures. Challenge companions to a variety of lawn sports like cornhole, bocce ball, or badminton. With extra chairs and fire roasting sticks readily available, spontaneous get-togethers are always welcomed.
Shallow Lake, located just 15 minutes from Grand Rapids, offers the perfect blend of tranquil beauty and urban convenience. Nearby Grand Rapids boasts a wonderful variety of businesses and an array of big-box stores for all your shopping needs, as well as excellent dining options and local brew houses to choose from.
Guest access
Tent Layout & Location: As you step onto the property, you'll notice a centrally-located shared shed which divides the area into two sections. To the right (east side), you'll find the "Eagles Nest" tent. The shed not only serves as a landmark to differentiate the tents but also houses amenities that are split between the two tents.
Beach and Dock Area: The scenic beach and dock area are shared spaces between the tents, providing all guests with access to water activities and relaxation.
Group Getaways: If you're traveling with a group, consider renting out both tents! It's a fantastic way to ensure proximity while still maintaining private spaces.
Safety Notice: While we hope you explore and enjoy the entire property, please note that there's a log pile towards the back. For your safety, we kindly request that guests refrain from playing on or tampering with it.

Mosquito Treatment
• Professional Precautions: We've taken steps to ensure you enjoy the beauty of nature without the bother of bugs. Our property is professionally treated for mosquitoes, ticks, and other pesky insects. Daytime mosquitoes? Quite the rarity here.
• Nature's Timing: Even with our preventative measures, we're still in the great outdoors! It's natural to see some bugs, and mosquitoes do become more active as the sun sets.
• Essential Nighttime Tip: To guarantee a peaceful night's rest, always ensure your tent is securely closed up at night. Even a small opening can invite mosquitoes in, disrupting your sleep.
