You can actually SEE Zilker Park from the apartment parking lot and HEAR MUSIC from surrounding venues that make this the live music capital of the world.

-Formerly the CLARKSVILLE district of DOWNTOWN AUSTIN.
-Visit the uniquely Austin restaurants, coffee shops, art galleries and boutiques on WEST SIXTH STREET.
*I always like to mention Clarks, a new trendy upscale oyster bar- where actors like Ryan Gosling have recently been spotted.
-½ mile from Lamar Blvd, the nearest commercial corridor featuring the flagship Whole Foods market, Waterloo Records, 24 Diner, BookPeople and more shopping/dining.
-Mopac Expressway is a couple blocks west.
-Walk to the famous Hike and Bike Trail on Town Lake and Zilker Park.
-Walk/run/bike to Barton Springs Pool, Umlauf Sculpture Gardens, Botanical Gardens, the newly renovated Zachary Scott Theater.
Public transportation is very accessible, but chances are, you can walk to all things ACL-related.
-The nearest bus stop less than a block away. The bus can take you deeper into downtown to the Warehouse district, “dirty Sixth Street,” trendy/hipster east sixth street, the 22 acres of the Texas Capitol, the University of Texas campus, or the Austin Convention Center, to name a few destinations. (Cab fare is about $10-$12 dollars to any of those places.)
-Take the bus or a cab a little further south on Lamar Boulevard which has many restaurants, coffee shops, and music venues.
-Then there’s South Congress Avenue, 8 miles away- a strip lined with restaurants, bars, vintage shops and stores like Allens Boots, which carries over 4,000 pairs of cowboy boots, along with hats and pearl-button shirts (a very Texan destination).
Other Things to Note
It’s a little funky, a little fancy and one of the most culturally diverse cities I have ever lived in.
We're so glad your are considering our space!

Dustee is a super cool person and very accommodating. The apartment is about a 10-15 minute walk to the heart of downtown and has everything I needed. Would definitely stay with her (and Gracee) the next time I'm in Austin!
Doesn't get much better than Dustee's apartment, I had an absolute blast during my 4-day stay in Austin! Dustee left notes all over the apartment to help get me oriented when I arrived, which was a very thoughtful thing to do. She was altogether very helpful and remained responsive during my entire stay. The space was very comfortable, I really felt at home the entire time. And Gracee was equally awesome, she provided lots of laughter anytime I was at the apartment.
Highly recommended place to stay in Austin, great location and great company!! Thanks, Dustee!
I had a great time staying at Dustee's place. Everything worked out perfectly, with no issues or complications. Staying with her was easy, fun, and comfortable. Well worth it! I will be back to say the least. And her cat was just as wonderful as everyone before me had mentioned :) Thanks again Dustee for a great weekend!
Dustee's place was great. As soon as I walked in I felt at home. Dustee was quick to respond before my arrival and very helpful. I had to cut my visit short and return home but I certainly would not hesitate to book another stay at Dustee's the next time I am in Austin.
The reservation was canceled 10 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This was my first time using airbnb and Dustee set the bar pretty high! The apartment was really nice and clean, room was cozy and had everything I needed. The location is dangerously convenient since it's walking distance from all the cool places like Whole Foods/Waterloo/Book People and then you'd want to go there every day. It's also really easy to get around since it's on a major road and there's quite a lot of buses going around. Dustee is super nice and accommodating and her cat Gracee is amusing, to say the least. Very much recommended!
Dustee is a great host for a visitor to Austin. As this was my first time going solo to an AirBnB, I was impressed with how organized the whole arrangement was, and she was really accommodating. Glad I had the opportunity to meet her and Gracee!
