About this listing
La Magnolia Bed and Breakfast offers accommodation in 5 wonderful bedrooms with private bathroom and is situated in an ancient building in via del Duomo, in the heart of the historic center of Orvieto, one of the most charming towns of Italy.
Our Bed and Breakfast has been working in the incoming business in Orvieto for many years, always with love and passion for our guests.
La Magnolia Bed and Breakfast is located 100 meters from the Duomo cathedral. Our building is in one of the most charming locations in town. By staying at our B&B, guests can enjoy an amazing view of the city, its charm, tranquillity. The Etruscan town of Orvieto has much to offer other than the Duomo: all around our B&B are many alleys, “piazzette”, streets, arches and noble courtyards.
We are inside an ancient noble palace, a few hundred meters from the funicular and the bus stations. Our location allows visitors to easily walk around to enjoy the many attractions of Orvieto, such as the Duomo Cathedral (designed by Lorenzo Maitani), its chapel (designed by Luca Signorelli), the Saint Patrick’s Well, the local museums, Orvieto Underground and much more.
Our strategic position also allow guests to attend cultural events during the whole year very easily. The bedrooms entrance is located directly on the main street, on a pedestrian area, but still guests can drive near the B&B and park without problems (also on Piazza Duomo).
This is an absolutely wonderful place! The room is clean, well-kept, and perfectly located. We were able to park about two minutes away, and walk to the Duomo and many cute little shops within a few minutes. The breakfast is delicious and a very good value. Unfortunately, we didn't get a chance to see Serena because our arrival was delayed and then we left the following day. Wish we could have spent another night here!
Serena and la magnolia b&b were so great. It is right down the street from the Duomo but it's still quiet and homey. Serena was very kind and gave us suggestions on where to eat and what to do in Orvieto. I wish we could have stayed longer!
Lovely B&B and lovely town! We were met exactly when scheduled and with a warm hostess. We received suggestions for meals and where to visit. The facility was clean and easy to navigate. Would recommend this for anyone considering a stay in Orvieto.
My wife and I arrived a bit late in the afternoon and were greeted by a friendly note from Serena and keys to the apartment space. Upon entering, My expectations were far exceeded and immediately felt like I was in my home away from home. Serena arrived later with a warm welcome and huge smile, offering us help with directions and recs around Orvieto. The morning brought us boundless amounts of fresh pastries, cappuccino, juice, and yogurt delivered right to our door! I can't say enough about how wonderful of a stay this was. I hope our paths cross again some day!
Orvieto was a lovely town. We spent two nights there and really wish we had stayed a day longer. A nice respite from our travels. Our room was lovely and quite comfortable.
We had a wonderful stay at Ivana's in Rome. Communication regarding arrangements was always friendly and immediate (The private driver she arranged for us from the airport was worth every cent- 40 Euros to have someone waiting for you and to take you exactly where you need to go!) When we arrived Ivana was at the apartment waiting to greet us and check us in. She provided a folder with information on the apartment and gave us some suggestions on where to eat. She also had a bottle of wine and some sweets left on the table which was very thoughtful! The apartment was perfect for us. It has a fantastic location: quiet street but turn the corner and you have access to all you need: coffee shops, restaurants, markets, and buses, and all the sites are within 5 -30 minutes walking. The apartment was clean with bedding and towels that were fresh and not tired.
We would definitely stay again - thank you Ivana!
We had a lovely time staying here - tastefully decorated and comfortable room, warm and welcoming host, thanks Serena, central location and great breakfast! We highly recommend this B&B to anyone lucky enough to visit Orvieto. We wished we could have stayed longer then one night.
