La Magnolia Bed and Breakfast offers accommodation in 5 wonderful bedrooms with private bathroom and is situated in an ancient building in via del Duomo, in the heart of the historic center of Orvieto, one of the most charming towns of Italy.
Our Bed and Breakfast has been working in the incoming business in Orvieto for many years, always with love and passion for our guests.
La Magnolia Bed and Breakfast is located 100 meters from the Duomo cathedral. Our building is in one of the most charming locations in town. By staying at our B&B, guests can enjoy an amazing view of the city, its charm, tranquillity. The Etruscan town of Orvieto has much to offer other than the Duomo: all around our B&B are many alleys, “piazzette”, streets, arches and noble courtyards.
We are inside an ancient noble palace, a few hundred meters from the funicular and the bus stations. Our location allows visitors to easily walk around to enjoy the many attractions of Orvieto, such as the Duomo Cathedral (designed by Lorenzo Maitani), its chapel (designed by Luca Signorelli), the Saint Patrick’s Well, the local museums, Orvieto Underground and much more.
Our strategic position also allow guests to attend cultural events during the whole year very easily. The bedrooms entrance is located directly on the main street, on a pedestrian area, but still guests can drive near the B&B and park without problems (also on Piazza Duomo).
We loved our stay with Serena in Orvieto. Her apartment is perfect, everything we needed, and Serena was so helpful. Her recommendations were incredible, restaurants, and information. We would not have visited Civita di Bagnoregio if she had not told us about it, it was an incredible place. Orvieto was a real pleasure, relaxed, beautiful, friendly people. hike the trail below the cliffs.
Grazie Sarena por tutti
Serena Brozzi runs the la Magnolia B&B in Orvieto, Itlay.
La Magnolia is in the heart of Orvieto, a stone throw from the Duomo. It’s a terrific place to stay.
Serena is an elegant, gracious and helpful host. Thank you Serena.
My teenage daughter and I stayed in one of the la Magnolia apartments. I wanted a safe and cosy place to stay that was not a sterile chain hotel. Serena’s place is delightful, charming and comfortable. We had a fabulous dreamy balcony view across the rooftops to the rolling Umbrian hills. Watching the light change at sun rise and sun set was tremendous.
We caught the train to Orvieto from Florence. Orvieto is a super midpoint stop between Florence and Rome. The train station is in the valley immediately below the hilltop township. There is a funicular railway over the road from the train station. At the top a mini-bus will take you, on the same ticket, and drop you in the square in front of the Duomo. It’s an easy roll across the cobbled square and down to the magnolia tree that stands across from la Magnolia B&B’s front door.
The la Magnolia doesn’t have a lift. Don’t worry though. Serena will insist upon looking after your bags, getting them up the stairs to your room.
Also, Serena’s restaurant recommendations were first rate.
We loved our stay at this adorable B&B. We had a private apartment in an ideal location. The breakfast was typical Italian (cappuccino, yogurt, pastry, OJ). The beds were firm but the shower was large & the water hot. Because it's right in the heart of everything expect a little noise at night, but on the plus side, the patio is the perfect place to people watch! It was really a wonderful place & I highly recommend it.
Serena is a high-energy charmer who took great care of us. She offered a choice between a lovely room at the b&b or an apartment a few blocks away - we took the apartment, which was very large, a new remodel (with high quality materials and workmanship) in an old building in a very charming residential quarter not far away. We just loved it. Big, immaculate, nicely furnished, completely comfortable yet atmospheric, with 15-foot-high beamed ceiling and lots of light. Orvieto is a delight, full of cobbles-and-tile medieval magic and wonderful views of surrounding Umbria. Wish we could have stayed longer! Anyway, Serena and the apartment were just great. Top recommendation!
We stayed just one night in September 2013, but it is so wonderful we wish we'd stayed longer. Serena was helpful, flexible, and friendly, and we felt very well taken care of.
The apartment was surprisingly large, very comfortable, and had everything we needed. The B&B is in THE perfect location near the duomo.
We cannot recommend Serena and the B&B La Magnolia highly enough. We will stay here again!
Our room at Magnolia BnB was large and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay in Orvieto. Placed on a pedestrian only street, we were right in the heart of town and interesting sights, but quiet at night. Communication with Serena was excellent, and she greeted us in the morning with a tasty breakfast, including her mother's handmade cherry tart and cappachino.
We had also an awesome stay at Magnolia B&B. Serena was very helpful, welcoming, and just wonderful. If there were any problems she fixed them very soon. She gave us tips about cosy restaurants, where to go near Orvieto and where to park the car free ! The apartment was very nice and clean with everything you need. Lot´s of interesting design details and a small balcony and a nice kitchen. The house itself was very beautiful. It is located very central in Orvieto with restaurants and bars just outside. It can be loudly if you have windows towards the street though. Ours were towards the backyard and it was very calm. Lovely place !
Magnolia B&B is just as advertised. The building is beautiful, the Duomo is magnificent. There are restaurants and shops right outside the door. Our apartment was perfect, very comfortable bed, and a kitchen. The small balcony was a treat. Serena was great. She is very enthusiastic about her business and about Orvieto. If you are in Orvieto, this is the place to stay!
Serena, thanks for the awesome stay! The apt was fabulous - clean, roomy and comfortable. It was in the center of town and close to all attractions. Great hospitality. Thanks for carrying my heavy suitcase up the stairs. Very helpful tips. Highly recommend Serena and her place.
