FREE kayaks, ice, and grill pellets. This gorgeous lake home is THE destination for BIG family fun at an affordable price. (Booking Guest MUST be at least 28.) Situated on a quiet area of Lay Lake, there's plenty of spaces to spread out, to snuggle up, or to just find your happy place. All the bedrooms have a lake view and the main floor is 100% wheelchair accessible with a walk in shower. Also, Dec-May, Ray is a pro crappie guide. Inquire for more info.

The space
This is fisherman's paradise too. The dock has a sunken light to see the swimmers below the surface at night. You can put your boat in at the local marina and park it in the slip for your stay. Up at the house, French doors open on both floors to full decks where you really should watch in awe as God paints the sky anew every evening. The grounds feature old plantings of all sorts, a fire pit at the water's edge, a foot path and a lovely little swing by a blueberry bush. You're welcome to seasonal asparagus in spring and blueberries as summer begins. Winter months here are mild and the stillness of the lake casts a perfect mirror image of the colors in the sky. Ray comes and goes between hunting in Kentucky, fishing around here, and taking care of his family in Florida. He entrusts the place to Rusty and I (Sunny), long time Super Hosts and locals in the area. We assure you, you'll feel like you're staying at a friend's house, not your typical vacation rental. This truly is a home place shared with you because it is that special and needs life in it when Ray can't be there. We maintain it with the same care as we give to our own places in town. You are 20 minutes from the 280 Corridor in Sylacauga. If you stop on your way in at Publix or Piggly Wiggly before leaving the beaten path, you'll have Pursell Farms Golf Resort, Lori Darlin's restaurant, Big Daddy's kitchen/gas station, and a Dollar General within 10 minutes of your destination while you are here. You are in farm country where the locals are friendly and the drive is scenic.

Guest access
You'll have the entire house and the surrounding grounds, dock, and boat slip.

Other things to note
This property has two houses on it, Ray's main house and a small guest cottage that he lists separately. Right now the dock is shared and we ask that you take 2 hour turns and be neighborly. The plan is to eventually build another fishing pier for the cottage guest's use separately. But for now, sharing is caring.
