Interaction with Guests
I like to interact with my guests, and I enjoy getting to know them. However, I am also very respectful of privacy and I will take no offense if guests wish to keep to themselves during their stay.
Midtown Palo Alto is a very friendly, walkable neighborhood. You will find shops, salons, and restaurants just two blocks away in Midtown Shopping Center, but from the house you would never know that those services are so close by!
California Avenue CalTrain station is just a ten minute walk from the house. There you can take the free Stanford Marguerite shuttle to campus or various parts of town. In Midtown shopping center you can catch the public bus for a small fee. Bus and train schedules are provided for your use during your stay, and are located on the desk in the guest room.
Visitors to Palo Alto can rent a bike via BayAreaBikeShare. You can get a 24-hour or 3-day membership from any station kiosk. See BayAreaBikeShare for a map of bike station locations. The closest one to the house is across the street from the California Avenue CalTrain station.

Please behave respectfully to residents of the home, and observe quiet times from 10pm to 7am M-F, 10pm to 9am weekends.
Treat our home and its contents with the same care you would want a guest in your own home to treat your property.
I love language and to study and learn new languages. I was an avid traveler before I had kids, and I hope to travel widely again and live abroad in the near future, to become fluent in many languages, and to experience all of the wonderful cultures of the world. I am friendly and open, and I love being a host to visitors to my home and the surrounding areas. I look forward to meeting new people, and establishing friendships that will provide connections to all of the places in the world that I wish to visit.
