I have a double airbed in a flat right in the centre of Sheffield. It's nothing fancy but I'm not charging much for it either. I have a small sofa that a short person could sleep on too in a crunch (or if you don't want to be in the same bed).
The inflatable bed is in my living/kitchen room, so you would be sharing the apartment with me. However it has a private door so you will have privacy in the evenings but may be disturbed in the morning when I make breakfast if you plan on sleeping late.
Bathroom access is shared as well through a small entry hallway (shower and toilet in one room). You're welcome to use the kitchen, wireless internet, TV/DVD player, and really most anything that's in the flat like games. Sheets and towels can be provided as well if needed.
You're welcome to tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk, toast (with jam, etc.) or cereal that I have for breakfast.
The flat is well-located for Sheffield Hallam University (city campus), City Hall, Town Hall, the rail and bus stations, the immigration centre in Sheffield. All of these are less than 15 minutes walk away. The University of Sheffield is 15-30 minutes walk away, depending on the building you are visiting. Sheffield Hallam University's Collegiate Campus is about a 30 minute walk away. The nearest tram stops are about 1-2 minutes walk away and can get you to Arena, Meadowhall or Hillsborough in about 15-20 minutes.
I should note that I rarely accept bookings more than a month in advance, some festivals being the exception. It really depends on if I am sure I will be around, so if I am unsure of my plans I won't rent the room. It is worth enquiring before booking as a result. If you don't have airbnb recommendations, please have multiple verifications in your profile and I ask that everyone include a photo as well. Thanks
Brian was a gracious and helpful host. He made sure I know all the apartment's little quirks, so that I really feel at home, and he answered in detail all my questions about Sheffield and what to do here. He had lots of suggestions about food, transportation, etc. To top it all, the last night of my stay he made delicious cookies and packed a few for my train ride to Manchester airport. Thanks, Brian!

This truly is a home away from home.

Brain was great. I only stayed one night but the bed was comfy and his place close to Sheffield Station and town center. Perfect!
Brian was a great host, really hospitable and helpful. The location was perfect and the apartment was clean and tidy. It was great value for money and I had no problems during my stay. Cheers
Brian was a great host: hospitable, down-to-earth, helpful, flexible, and cheerful. The location is excellent and the flat is very nice, especially compared to what I'm used to in London! The bed was very comfortable as well, and I felt completely at home during the short time I was there. It is clear he loans out his space not just to make money, but to help out fellow travellers. Highly recommended.
The location is excellent and Brian was very helpful. The airbed was ok but overall for what I paid I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone.
Perfect stay, couldn't feel home more then there. If you'd ever need to be in Sheffield, I can highly recommend it. Value for money :)
Brian is a top bloke with a very pleasant flat. I only stayed there from (phone number hidden), but I quickly discovered Brian is a very friendly, cheery and benevolent chap who is keen to look after you. The bed was very comfy. Highly recommended.
I stayed @ Brian's place for almost a week as I took a course at Sheffield University. Brian is a very nice guy and he gave me a tour through the city center the first day I arrived. His apartment is very well located and everything is in easy walking distance. I really do recommend Brian's place as I had a good time in Sheffield. Thanks, Brian!
Brian gave me all the info I needed to arrive quickly from the train station, and set me up just as described. He is a warm host, and treated me to tea and homemade ice-cream, and my helping of breakfast cereals. He offered a tour around town, which I unfortunately had to decline. Comfortable bed and more than adequate facilities make this a couch-surfers heaven. Thanks Brian!
