The neighborhood is vibrant and alive. Unbelievably delicious places to eat one block from the apartment but far enough away from the 'scene' that it is quiet and relaxing. MUNI buses are one block from your room to anywhere in the city. There are fun places near by and practical ones too - you can get a quick blow dry, buy wine, get a facial, inexpensive jewelry (expensive too if you want!) or just sit in a beautiful cafe bar and eat $1 fresh oysters at happy hour while planning your evening.
We are situated in the heart of San Francisco one block from Chestnut Street. The location is fantastic with a bus stop right 100 yards away for easy access all around the city:
• 5 minutes to Palace of Fine Arts, Golden Gate Bridge or Fort Mason
• 20 minutes to Downtown, Moscone Center, Financial District, Civic Center and Union Square.
• 15 minutes to the Castro
Lots of great places to eat close by and much more.
• Cow Hollow
• Chrissy Field
• Golden Gate Bridge
• Fort Mason

I love everything about Chestnut Street -- the Apple Store, Peets and Starbucks Coffee, beautiful restaurants and people living, working and playing in San Francisco.
You can take the X30 (the fashion bus) early in the morning or the 22 to the Mission or the 30 to Embarcadero and Fisherman's Market.
The Marina District is a neighborhood located in San Francisco, California. The neighborhood sits on the site of the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition, staged after the 1906 San Francisco earthquake to celebrate the reemergence of the city. Aside from the Palace of Fine Arts, all other buildings were demolished to make the current neighborhood.
The neighborhood is also noted for its demographics, which since the 1980s have shifted from mostly middle-class families and pensioners, to professionals in their twenties and thirties. These now make up more than half of the population, although a small, affluent older population remains.

Angel and this place were fantastic!
The Marina area was a great place to stay- with Chestnut street only a block away, which had everything you needed, shops, cafés, restaurants. It was easy to get to ad from the city to see all of the tourist attractions.
Angel was a great host- told us all the places to go and got us oriented on San Fran. The apartment has everything you need, lots of space and grey heating!!
Prima ligging, mooi appartement. Als de bewoner thuis is, is de ruimte voor 4 gasten aan de krappe kant.
Jammer dat we onze bagage de laatste dag maar tot 12 uur in het appartement mochten laten.
Centrally located apartments near main attractions like Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, etc. don't have the two/three bathroom options in order to maintain the look and feel of the city. This is why San Francisco hotels charge $400/night for one room. A family of four would need 2 hotel rooms for 4 nights. Your visit not using shared space would have cost ~$3,200 vs. ~$600/total. Leaving luggage like a hotel until 5 pm for four people does not meet my host criteria in ensuring new guests have an uninterrupted guest experience like your family of four did. I think it would have been weird for another family to walk in to the unit to get your luggage. Namaste.
Lovely apartment in the super nice Marina District. My 2 friends and I stayed in 2 of the rooms at Angel's place; the largish main bedroom with comfortable double bed and nice big L-shaped sofa, TV and big windows. We also got the bunkbeds in a tiny room. While that room was small, it was perfectly find for my friends since we mostly just slept there. When we wanted to hang out, we were in my room with the sofas. Also there's a dining area off the kitchen and Angel made is feel welcome to use both the kitchen and dining area. He and his girlfriend are super friendly and helpful, and the place was perfect for our needs. I'd stay there again. Great neighborhood, so close to bars, restaurants, shops and short walk to the Ft Mason complex and the bay. We had a great time there!
Simply perfect. Thank you for opening house and heart and letting us stay with you. It was the most wonderful vacation I ever had also due to that.
Angel and Becca are really nice, and their place is amazing. They advises us the best things to do, and they had leaflets for a lot of interesting things.
Their flat is sunny, comfortable, really cosy and clean. There is two room, perfect for a family or couple of friends ! And it's really easy to use their kitchen.
The area is really pretty and quiet, and there is still a street (Chestnut) in the neighborhood with shops and restaurant, which is perfect for shopping and dining.
The bay and the view of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate are really close. There is buses all around to join every places of the city.
I recommand this place absolutely !!
