Benedikt was an accommodating host, although it was a little tricky to connect with him (mostly because I was traveling without cell phone service). His apartment is a clean, modern, and spacious spot tucked in a residential neighborhood. It was the perfect place for us to stay during our short visit to Akureyri.
A pleasure accomodation in a pleasure location. Everything was ok from the cleaning to the disponibility. It was very good for us. I suggest this accomodation to the other visitors.
Lovely apartment with the grocery store and other amenities nearby. Well-equipped and well-stocked kitchen. Bathroom was clean and nice, with tonnes with bath towels provided. There was cable TV as well and we were extremely pleased. Benedikt was a very hospitable host who came down to the apartment and made sure my friends and I settled in alright. Thanks for accommodating us! It was fantastic.
I stayed here in a group of 5 for 3 nights, and we had a very enjoyable visit to Akureyri. We also used the apartment as a base to explore Myvatn.
The apartment is part of a small apartment complex, but there is plenty of privacy and quiet, and it has its own entrance. The apartment is very clean and modern, and it was well-stocked with everything we'd need -- towels, extra blankets, and lots of cooking ware. Also, it had a really great shower!
Benedikt was a very communicative host throughout, and was helpful when road closings threatened our trip. One thing to note is that the apartment is not downtown, but it is close, and a fast drive to the airport too.
The apartment is pretty nice and clean. Beds are comfortable. The location is good as well, it wasn't hard to find, and Akureyri is a lovely town.
However there are minor problems that I didn't expect when I booked the place. Firstly it's not quiet, I could hear everything that was going on the apartment upstairs. Secondly, we were short of the kitchenware when we tried to cook ourselves. Next, the wifi didn't work properly: only sometimes and only for some devices, on the seconds day it stopped working at all. I can't say these problems are critical, but it's the minor details that define a truly good place. Overall I can say that it's a good place to spend a night or two, but unfortunately not if you wish to live and relax. Considering the price and other apartments that we visited in Iceland I was hoping for the later.
Benedikt's apartment is very nice. The location has a great view of the surrounding mountains. The bed was extremely comfortable and everything in the apartment was very nice.
Benedikt was awesome he was willing to help with any questions that we had and extremely friendly.
