We heard from David shortly before our arrival reminding us to contact Christiane so she could meet us outside the apt. I contacted her and she met us as agreed... even though we were caught in bad traffic by the airport due to the taxi strike. We were relying on our GPS to get us there and maybe if we knew the city we could have avoided it but it was a mess that day. The neighborhood is beautiful! Grand old houses and apts. with giant palm trees that sit above the city with a view of the ocean. This apt is modern and spacious. Lots of room for 4 people. We only had 3 because my sister's husband had to return home due to business. The apt was clean and the beds very comfortable. Modern Air-conditioning units worked great in every room. There is a very nice stereo but we never used it. The giant flat screen was great. Also a DVD player worked.. printed directions are there on how to use it but I still had a little difficulty but figured it out. The second TV in the first bedroom never worked because the satellite connection didn't seem to work. I gave up and it didn't really bother us. There is a washer-dryer that is fairly easy to work. The dryer takes forever so we just dried our clothes outside on the rack. The dishwasher worked great and so did the other appliances. I never figured out the coffee maker... that was not a priority. Being American and not speaking french, these appliances were a bit of a challenge but we figured them out. David was also very quick to answer any questions by email.
David's apartment extremely spacious, clean and comfortable to stay in. His descriptions and pictures are accurate if not an understatement. The apartment is located in a safe and quite neighbourhood and everything (beach, city and museums) is just a short bus ride away. If you're travelling to Nice in a group of 5 or less, look no further, David's apartment will be your perfect choice.
Perfect space for the four adults to stay in David's apt accommodating up to 6guests.amazing use of the space and finished to an extremely high standard. Both the kitchen and living room are really well equipped with and cozy.wifi there is also very fluent.we intend to stay here whenever we r in Nice
I'll get to the point: the Vast apartment is excellent and exactly as described. 2 large double beds, 3 WCs, 2 shower, 1 with bath, TV, stereo, Wi Fi etc, etc. Big, bright, airy and feeling of spaciousness: lots of natural light. Every convenience (top of the art and up to date) make your stay smooth and hassle free. This was our (wife + husband in our 60s) first Airbnb experience (and we're fussy) so we were apprehensive. David made it very easy and stress free. His descriptions of apartment, location, local sights and restaurants were clear, precise and very accurate. Cimiez, where the apartment is located, is a quiet and easily accessed suburb of Nice. Bus stop almost outside the door (number 15 bus and in less than 15 minutes you're in Nice centre), grocery shopping etc within easy reach.
We're already considering a re-visit later this year so that says it all.
We had a wonderful time in David's apartment. The space is gorgeous and the closest thing to feeling like home while traveling. The sound system wired throughout the house is amazing. Kitchen was fully stocked, as were bathrooms. David's restaurant recommendations were great and affordable. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in nice!
Vielen Dank!!!
Both David and his apartment are exceptional and I can say nothing but positive things about both. The apartment is very high quality, super stylish and located in a great position, not on top of the downtown area, but only a 10 minute walk (or short busride) away, when you do want to head in. In my mind, much better than being right down in the thick of it constantly!
David is a dream to deal with, with great communcation skills and a lovely, positive demeanour. I really hope to deal with him again. Thanks David!
About the Host, David
Conference interpreter having to live away from Nice :( Raised there and love the region. Will provide all guests with a list of things to see and do whilst holidaying. I always love to go back to Nice and enjoy my comfortable apartment, the old town, the beaches and above all the food. Nice has unique food experiences based on local, off the tourist-route cuisine that I will gladly share with you.
