Galway is one of the most chilled out spots in Western Europe. Despite being a city, it feels like a big town with its easy attitude and cool bohemian vibe. Known as the City of the Tribes, after the 14 affluent tribes who ruled during the middle ages, this thriving city is the most westerly in Europe and enjoys a strong artistic heritage and a flourishing arts, music, theatre and film scene. Summer in Galway is a never-ending stream of excellent festivals, with eating, drinking and entertainment all taking place outdoors in the balmy air of this warm-hearted city. Enjoy the atmospheric pubs in this West of Ireland city with its beautiful location at the edge of Galway Bay, its pretty medieval streets and its lively weekend markets for a city break you’ll never forget.

Geraldine is a really nice and helpful person. She picked us up from the bus stop, than we had a great chat with a cup of tea.
She always prepared a big breakfast for us, and you could choose whatever you wanted.
She gave us ideas where to go and what to see.
I really recommend staying with her!
Thank you for everything again!
Geraldine is the most kind and gracious host, and perhaps one of the most sincere people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I could not have asked for a better experience during my stay in Galway. Ger and Pat were very forthcoming with suggestions and expertise about the area and Ireland in general. The room was perfect, and the location is ideal. I hope to stay with them again very soon!
Geraldine is a most charming and welcoming host. A cup of tea and home made scones after a long day's driving really makes you feel at home. Breakfast was great, bedroom clean and cosy. Great place to stay.
To start: The decision to stay the days between Christmas and New Years Eve with Geraldine in her home was the best I ever experienced. In spite of mostly bad weather during these days we felt completely warm in both meanings: the welcoming and hearty care, which let us feel like part of the family - and the cosy fireplace, which awaited us after a day with rain and storm.
To continue: The room and private bathroom were great and according to the description.
We had every morning a table prepared with lovely breakfast and all items we needed. We enjoyed the chats over a cup of tea including fresh scones, accompanied with "homemade" music, the lovely cat, the fantastic deadpan humor of Pat.
To end: I recommend this home entirely.
We were met with the warm Irish welcome we had hoped for.
Staying with Geraldine, Pat and David was like staying with long lost family. The room and private bathroom were great and we felt very much like we were at home.
Lovely breakfast and great chats over a cup of tea, including fresh scones. A real stand out host and experience.
Galway is gorgeous, we had great recommendations from our hosts and loved having a car to easily access the city and cruise around the cost.
Highly recommended! !
My stay with Geraldine was just perfect! My travel partner and I could not have asked for a better stay. We had to book last minute due to unforeseen complications and Geraldine responded very quickly. I felt completely at ease in her home and she truly showed us a fantastic time in Galway. We had a lovely time chatting and getting to know each other! I would recommend Geraldine in a heartbeat.
Geraldine is just the perfect host. Very nice and friendly made us feel at home in the beautiful city of Galway. The room is cozy and very well equipped (There is water pipe in the bedroom, very useful! :) . Breakfast was delicious...
Geraldine was a wonderful host. She was very friendly, welcoming and she told us about some nice places to see. We enjoyed the breakfast and the conversations with Geraldine and her family. The house was beautiful and clean and near the city center.
We had such a nice time in Galway and we would highly recommend this place.
Staying here was like staying with family! We could not recommend staying with Geraldine any higher.
Geraldine was a wonderful host. She and Pat stayed up late into the night to accommodate our check-in (our plane arrived pretty late). Then, the next morning they got up early to get us gluten-free food because the previous evening we mentioned a gluten allergy. They really went above and beyond to make us feel at home.
Geraldine was a pleasure to chat with. She was very friendly and welcoming and had lots of great suggestions about what to do around Galway. We also had a great time hanging out with Pat and Dave once we got home in the evening.
The house was beautiful, very clean and warm. The neighborhood was very safe and quiet. It was the perfect base for exploring western Ireland, including Cliffs of Moher. We had a great stay here and would highly recommend this place.
