We are on the West side of the City which is an Ideal location, for discovering Connemara with it's lovely landscapes. Explore the beautiful scenery of the West Coast of Ireland including the Cliffs of Moher, the Aran Islands and Bunratty Castle.
Galway is one of the most chilled out spots in Western Europe. Despite being a city, it feels like a big town with its easy attitude and cool bohemian vibe. Known as the City of the Tribes, after the 14 affluent tribes who ruled during the middle ages, this thriving city is the most westerly in Europe and enjoys a strong artistic heritage and a flourishing arts, music, theatre and film scene. Summer in Galway is a never-ending stream of excellent festivals, with eating, drinking and entertainment all taking place outdoors in the balmy air of this warm-hearted city. Enjoy the atmospheric pubs in this West of Ireland city with its beautiful location at the edge of Galway Bay, its pretty medieval streets and its lively weekend markets for a city break you’ll never forget.
You cannot imagine a friendlier host. It was instantly like being part of the family, very uncomplicated and cordial.
If you are keen on partying in the city centre you will be dependent on taxi because buses don't serve the area later in the evening, but there is also a lovely pub nearby.
Hi we stayed at Geraldine's two nights and we really enjoyed it, she is such a nice person, room was clean and the breakfast was amazing, i specially loved the salmon and the home made scones ;D
Thanks for the suggestion of Mitchells Restaurant in Clifden is a must!!!! JUST perfect!!!
Clean, comfortable place in a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood, great breakfasts, delightful, cheerful, helpful host—what more could we ask for? Thanks Geraldine (and Biggles!)
My sister and I stayed with Geraldine and her son last weekend and absolutely loved it! Geraldine immediately made us feel at home. By the end of our 2-night stay, we felt like we'd stayed with family. Also, my sister was sick while we were there, and Geraldine and her family were very understanding and helpful, which really helped us handle a less than ideal situation.
Geraldine provided us with lots of info on what to see and do in Galway and what was happening in the city centre that weekend. The room is clean, comfortable and well equipped. The city centre is a short drive away and the Salthill promenade, which is totally worth the visit, is a nice way to walk to the city centre from Geraldine's.
We both highly recommend Geraldine's for a stay in Galway. She's a wonderful host!
Super séjour chez Géraldine ! Je vous recommande vivement sa maison. Simplicité et plaisir d'une belle rencontre.Elle nous a donné pleins de conseils pour visiter Galway et le Connemara, tout ça devant un petit déjeuner copieux...
Geraldine is very friendly and likeable. The accommodation was as described. The area is modern middle-class very close to Salthill seaside promenade. Geraldine tried her best to make us comfortable. She told us where to have dinner and even drove us to the place to show us the route. We took her advice and was delighted with the meal, service etc.
I very much enjoyed my time at this Galway BnB.
It is located in a west Galway neighborhood that turns out to be an advantage if you plan to go to the Aran islands or the Trad/prom River Dance show. .
Geraldine is delightful and makes you quickly feel like a member of the family. I hear she is quite an accomplished golfer. I can only attest to her knowledge of the LPGA and PGA and her pride in the emergence of several prominent Irish golfers.

Hi my name is Geraldine and I'm from Ireland. I love travelling and learning new languages and about new cultures. I have been all over Europe and also to Chile in South America, which I loved. I like all types of sport especially golf, which I play. There are great golf clubs nearby that I can give you information on. It is also a musical household, my son David plays several instruments and is involved in a local band. My children are grown up now so I have a couple of spare rooms in my house and thought I'd give Airbnb a go because I've heard great things about it. I hosted foreign students for years and really enjoyed the experience. Our household is happy, friendly and easy going. I would be delighted to have you stay with me and my family and to give you travel info about Galway and Ireland.
