  • This airstream is magical, as is the yard it accompanies. M&M weren't home when I was there, but their niece was a incredible host. I had been looking forward to staying here for months, and it exceeded my very high expectations. Clean, comfortable, wonderful.

  • Our recent stay in Marcella and Meredith's airstream was so wonderful! The location of their home is great and allowed us to explore areas we might not have otherwise. They are so incredibly hospitable! There were great recommendations in their guest book and gave any suggestions if we needed one.

Whenever we passed in their yard they were always up for conversation and asked how we were liking our stay and if we needed anything. The airstream was so cute and comfortable! I would definitely recommend their place to anyone visiting Austin! We will be back!

  • So cute - pretty much exactly what the pictures show, and better. Stayed here with a friend, we were cozy despite the chilly nights. And we made friends with cats, chickens, dogs and a pig! It was a really nice spot to come back to and rest midday, as well. Pretty easy access from generally anywhere we were in Austin.

  • My boyfriend and I stayed over a weekend and when we arrived, we were showered with Marcy's wonderful hospitality. Her toffee, dogs, chickens, and adorable pig brightened the rainy days! She was incredibly helpful with recommendations for bus transportation, restaurants, and anything else we needed. It was such a fun and memorable experience. We'd recommend her charming airstream to any and all who want to visit Austin!

  • The airstream was so cute! And the yard was very enjoyable! Futon is not the most comfortable bed, but the place is so cute and the girls were so friendly we didn't mind.

  • Such a unique experience and a lovely place, a very relaxing stay at the airstream and had fun feeding the animals. Love every minute i've stayed there.

The only regret that i haven't spend more time there.

  • Wow! What an amazing space! I surprised my boyfriend with a night in Austin for his birthday and Marcella's vintage Airstream provided the perfect getaway. The decor inside the Airstream is quaint, whimsical, and comfortable - we kept saying, "Is this for real?!?" The maps & comic strips used as wallpaper, the tiny bookshelf, the long desk space along one wall (complete with coffee maker, mugs & glasses, and cork screw!), the oh-so-soft-and-beautiful bedding... I could go on (and we did, the whole time we were there). Where you'll be sleeping is wonderful enough, but the part I think we enjoyed the most was the yard outside the Airstream. While waiting for a friend to meet up with us for dinner, we made a pot of coffee and sat in the Adirondack yard chairs outside the Airstream. Sitting in the light of the stars and the strings of Christmas lights, listening to the chickens and Fern the pig preparing for bed, and petting sweet Reggie - the grey cat who will no doubt find your lap - we truly felt like we were "home away from home." Marcella has created such a relaxing and inviting place to stay that would be perfect for a couple spending a few days in Austin or a single person needing a quiet yet idyllic space to get work done or relax. It is in a great location - close to all the "good stuff" in Austin but in a quieter, more residential area. Make sure to look through Marcella & Meredith's recommendations for things to do and places to eat; we tried one of their breakfast taco suggestions and were blown away! Last but not least, if you are staying with someone else, it is in your best interest to hide Marcella's delicious homemade toffee when you get there because you're not going to want to share. Seriously.

  • My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay here. The trailer is cozy and decorated with a lot of personal touches that make it feel very warm. The style is tastefully eclectic.

The bed was maybe a little short for Scott since he's just over 6 feet. But I slept as well as I do at home - which is very well.

Marci made us feel right at home. And it's beyond me how she trained Fern the pig to blow kisses at you when you give her treats - it's adorable. Fern actually makes smoochy noises! She cured me of a bad experience I had with pigs in a large animal science class. I want to stay again and bring my sister.

  • This review comes late, so sorry!!!

All I can say is that this place was my little oasis while staying in Austin. Don't go lookin' for luxury, this place is VINTAGE to the core, the newly renovated cottage near the house might suit you better if you don't have that warm fuzzy feeling the minute you step inside.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to chat with my host family as much as I would have liked. The beautiful main house, the menagerie of animals (all SWEET as pie), to their gorgeous little girl's playhouse, FROM MY FIRST REQUEST TO STAY, corresponding emails to and from Europe, UNTIL MY FINAL GOODBYE everything was professional. The whole AirB&B experience has been great!

  • A great place to stay. The trailer is fantastic - really cozy and quirky. Was very well equipped and the animals were fun.

About
Hi! My name is Marcella. Here's a little about me: 1) I have an amazing partner, Meredith, and an ever fluctuating number of kids living with us. 2) The reason why the number of kids changes is because we are foster parents. 3) Being a foster mom is the hardest and most rewarding thing I have ever done. 4) I began hosting on airbnb as a way to supplement our income and allow me to stay home with our kiddos. 5) I'm so glad I did, because I LOVE being an airbnb host! 6) When I have some free time, I love to garden or putter around outside doing projects. 7) I love animals but never expected to have quite so many. 8) I also never expected to be washing so much laundry as an adult. :) 9) I make really good English Toffee. 10) I always share some of my toffee with guests. :)
