Clean, comfortable and affordable stay in mid-town Bend. Just minutes from the downtown scene, where you will find good food and lots of beer.
Sleeps two in a queen bed.
Located in the middle of Bend Oregon, my house is a great base for exploring the city and beyond. Whether you'd like to take a hike up Pilot Butte, grab a local beer, take off to see Dillon Falls on the Deschutes River or ski Mt. Bachelor, it feels like you are only minutes away.
I open my home to you for your enjoyment during your stay in Bend. I have three bedrooms for guests. The two bathrooms are shared. The kitchen may be used by guests as well, ready with cookware and basic spices. Just bring your main ingredients to cook your own meals 'at home'. Of course, if you choose to eat out, there are many great choices 5 minutes to downtown. Deschutes Brewery, Silver Moon Brewery, Taj Palace, Brother Johns, or the classic Pine Tavern are all recommended choices.
Also living at the house is a cat named Marley, who is a very good greeter.
I cut custom lapidary sculpture and jewelry. Some of my pieces are found through out the house and they are for sale. I work with quartz primarily, cutting small pieces, hand held and pendants, and also have a collection of quartz lit up in light bases of old growth juniper. I work on pieces most days in my studio. Tours are available, so if you have a raw piece of stone that you've been wanting cut or polished, bring it in and lets see what can happen.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing my little piece of Bend. Cheers, Lee
I stayed for just one night and all was as described. Lee Marie was prompt and friendly with communication and the room was super cute and clean and had an uplifting painting and quote on the back of the door - mmm. There are two other rooms that get rented out to other guests as well. Floors are a bit squeaky and sound does travel. I would stay again! Thanks for hosting me, Lee Marie :)
We had mixed feelings about our stay at Lee's home. The home was a little rough around the edges, but certainly worked well enough for a one night stay. The room we stayed in was comfortable and we had everything else we might need. The place is in a quiet neighborhood with a great Thai place around the corner.
We did not meet Lee, though she seemed nice by text. We ran into one guest in the hallway. We never ran into the individual staying in the third room -- originally thought Lee lived in this home, but our sense by the time we left was that all the rooms were rented out. I've stayed in a number of Airbnb locations and this is my least favorite setup -- to me it feels less personal. I also never received a response to my inquiry about the checkout procedures.
This was my second time staying with Lee...her house is in a great location and is very comfortable!! This time, we stayed 3 nights in the queen bedroom—clean, comfy, convenient. Lee was so generous to let us use her kitchen; we cooked a spaghetti dinner after a long day on the slopes at Mt. Bachelor. Perfect vacation, perfect place to stay. Bonus: Lee's kitty Marley is adorable and we spent a lot of time snuggling and chatting with her :)
I had a great experience, the hostess was very accommodating. Will definitely recommend.
Pictures were accurate. Lee was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and the location is pretty close to downtown. About a 6 mins drive and 15/20mins walk. Would recommend.
Lee Marie was such a welcoming host; she made me feel truly at home. I was only in Bend for the night, but Lee was kind enough to offer local suggestions prior to my trip back to Seattle.

Hello, My name is Lee.
I am 46 years old, a business owner and a home owner and have lived in Bend for most of my life. I have a daughter, who has just moved into her own apartment here in Bend and a son, who is living in Tacoma and attending college. I have owned this house for the past 8 years and love the location in the middle of Bend. I have been a log home designer for the past 20 years, yet have embraced the change in economy and started up a new lapidary business in 2012. My studio is at my house and is open for tours. If you have a special rock or mineral that you've always wanted turned into a pendant or placed on a pedestal/light base, lets talk! I am also open to teaching workshops, allowing you to cut your own piece.
My interests are many. From creating community and volunteer work. I enjoy the connections made with others. I have been to Burning Man the past three years and feel it is having a larger impact on me, as I open up more to my own potential. I love my house and gardening and making improvements over time. Alot of satisfaction in making my home comfortable and I enjoying sharing it with others.
Looking forward to meeting you all. Cheers! Lee Marie Steckler
