About this listing
Clean, comfortable and affordable stay in mid-town Bend. Just minutes from the downtown scene, where you will find good food and lots of beer.
Sleeps two in a queen bed.
Located in the middle of Bend Oregon, my house is a great base for exploring the city and beyond. Whether you'd like to take a hike up Pilot Butte, grab a local beer, take off to see Dillon Falls on the Deschutes River or ski Mt. Bachelor, it feels like you are only minutes away.
I open my home to you for your enjoyment during your stay in Bend. I have three bedrooms for guests. The one bathrooms are shared. The kitchen may be used by guests as well, ready with cookware and basic spices. Just bring your main ingredients to cook your own meals 'at home'. Of course, if you choose to eat out, there are many great choices 5 minutes to downtown. Deschutes Brewery, Silver Moon Brewery, Taj Palace, Brother Johns, or the classic Pine Tavern are all recommended choices.
Also living at the house is a cat named Marley, who is a very good greeter.
I cut custom lapidary sculpture and jewelry. Some of my pieces are found through out the house and they are for sale. I work with quartz primarily, cutting small pieces, hand held and pendants, and also have a collection of quartz lit up in light bases of old growth juniper. I work on pieces most days in my studio. Tours are available, so if you have a raw piece of stone that you've been wanting cut or polished, bring it in and lets see what can happen.
I look forward to meeting you and sharing my little piece of Bend. Cheers, Lee
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I think that Lee Marie was a thoughtful host. Although I didn't meet her, I didn't need to because she had everything organized when I got there. Directions, keys, WIFI, etc.
Comfortable private room and shared space with other guests. Clean, welcoming, convenient to downtown, nicely decorated. Had no personal contact with our host, but instructions and a big pile of local information publications helped us have a good stay.
Cute room and perfect location. Lee's house is a short bike ride from downtown and in a nice neighborhood. The house itself is very clean and comfortable, and it has a great backyard to relax in.
One thing to be aware of though is that you're sharing one bathroom with two other rooms (so possibly 4 others), which isn't always the most convenient, and we had bathroom wait times of 30+ minutes.
Nice home! Very clean. Lee was very welcoming. It would have been nice to know before hand that she was going to have 4 other travelers, because 6 of us were sharing one bathroom and it was difficult at times to use the bathroom. Aside from that Lee was great. I left my nice Nike shoes and she mailed them back to me!!!
This was my first Airbnb experience and I was absolutely happy with my decision to book a room in Lee's house. As the pictures show, the house is clean and beautifully decorated with amazing natural art. What the pictures do not show is how comfy the bed was! The sheets and comforter are high quality and so comfortable. We didn't ask much of Lee but she seemed ready and willing to help us if we wanted help; she kept to her wing of the house so we didn't feel awkward wandering around the living room admiring the decorations.
I would definitely stay here again! Thanks Lee!
