Our cottage is located in the woods in western Achterhoek just over an hour's drive from Amsterdam. It is not a park, but rather on a plot of 2 acres private forest. It has a large pool of 3,5 x 8 meters.
In 2005 the house supervised by the famous dutch architect Piet Hein Eek, is rebuilt. The Elle Wonen in 2006 made a report of it, and the VT did the same in 2010.
It has 1 bedroom with 1 double bed, and 1 large bedroom with 2 x 3-person bunk (6 singles in total).
There is a bathroom with shower, washing machine and dryer and an outdoor bathroom with hot shower and bathtub.
The kitchen is fully equipped, large fridge, freezer, a large 4 burner Viking stove, large oven and a cooker. Outside there is a large Weber gas BBQ.
The house is heated by a heating, partly floor heating, radiators and partly by a wood stove with wood from our forest.
We have 2 verandas, 1 is with a large 10-person dining table.
There are 2 adult bikes and 2 children's present.
Last but not least, the house has a pool of 8 x 3.5 meters with a large terrace. The pool when not in use by an automatic deck covered, so no danger to children.
The pool is open from early May until sometime in September.
Still good to know: At 100 meters from the house is a railway line where 4 x per hour (not at night) a train comes along. Makes 10 sec lot of noise!
