About this listing
Gorgeous 2 bedroom in the best location in Amsterdam. Designer artwork, comfortable, please read our reviews our guests have absolutely loved their stay with us. We look forward to welcoming you to the beautiful city of Amsterdam! Eva
This is your opportunity to stay in a renovated 'Rijksmonument' apartment from 1666.
Our beautiful apartment is located on the Prinsengracht, overlooking two historical bridges and a tranquil canal.
This area is the most beautiful and photographed scene in Amsterdam, sit at your window that directly overlooks the water and watch the boats sail by. Our apartment is located on the first floor of a historical monument building that has been fully restored to its original glory and renovated to feature all modern day comforts and luxuries. It is conveniently located in the heart of the Jordaan district, an area known for its beautiful canals, historic buildings and wonderful shopping. In the area is a huge variety of small local shops, cafes and restaurants. On Saturdays there is an organic farmers market and on Mondays there is a flea market just around the corner at the Noordermarkt. Central Station, Anne Frank house, and a number of other museums and historic locations are all within walking distance. Public transportation and grocery stores are all within a few minutes. The best shopping area, the 9 streets with wonderful Dutch and international boutiques, is only a 7 minute walk from your front door.
The apartment is 70 m2 and has an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining area, a master bedroom with ensuite, a guest bedroom, a toilet and a laundry. The apartment can sleep up to 4 people. We are happy to provide a baby cot if required. It has a fully equipped kitchen and laundry. A flatscreen television and wifi are also connected in the apartment. Best of all it's on the first floor so very easy for luggage and or older guests. Trust me in Holland most apartments are full of stairs, we only have 10 for you to climb! It's also very quiet although central so we promise you'll have a great night rest as well.
Our apartment has featured in a monthly column in the famous Dutch interior design magazine 101 home ideas for the past 12 months. All of our artwork and vintage pieces have been specifically chosen to give the apartment a unique, creative, warm feel. We look forward to welcoming you to your own little home away from home!

We would prefer couples or families who will respect our lovely apartment. This is not a party apartment as we want to retain the wonderful relations we have with our neighbours. If you have a baby we can supply you with everything you need including a monitor, steriliser and pram if required. STRICTLY NO SMOKING.
That was a fantastic apartment, close to the central station and central Amsterdam. The apartmant was very clean, and has everything what guests need during short - or long time visit, furnichings where all very comfortable. I would definitely book it again, we had a lovely stay! Eva was a great host, very welcoming, she gaves all information what we needed.
The description of the apartment is accurate, my granddaughter and I felt at home.
The neighborhood is the best place to be In Amsterdam, it's more like you are one of the locals than a tourist.
The open market (Saturday's and Monday's) is fantastic, do not miss the lady with the African made Jewelery (SternAfrica) you will thank me!
I will recommend this apartment. Everything went smoothly, I did not meet Eva, she was on vacation, but she arranged a key box and a combination to access it. No problem.
A very charming & very central location! The famous apple pie is 30 seconds away, the 9 streets is a stroll away too! But it's still quiet and relaxing! Loved our time there- thank you Eva!
David made us feel very welcome and helped us up the stairs with our luggage! Thank you!! He stayed and explained everything and was extremely friendly. We had to bother him later and he really didn't seem to mind.
This apartment is great. It's even better than in the pictures. Gorgeous view of one of the most picturesque canals, in a lively yet peaceful neighborhood. The location is excellent, easy to get around the entire city with nearby grocery story, restaurants, shopping, central train station etc.. Would also be great flat for families with kids. Our host responded quickly to all our questions and check in was very enjoyable. Very friendly and helpful couple offering a great place to stay!
This is a gorgeous apartment in a fantastic location to explore Amsterdam's sights and canals, with a great view on the hustle and bustle of some busy streets. The nearby bars and restaurants are lively (but not noisy) and feel as though they have a nice balance of local and tourist appeal. So we spent a couple of days feeling like Amsterdam residents!
Eva had left everything we needed for a great stay and was a kind and generous host. She wasn't troubled by us arriving later than expected and was happy for us to leave our bags in the apartment until later in the day we checked out.
The apartment had everything our family needed. The laundry room was a godsend once we translated the Dutch washer/dryer instructions to English. The apartment location is like a movie set. In fact, one night during our visit, notorious film director Dick Maas filmed a scene for his next movie right outside our door. The canals and bridges were lit up in an eery blue light that you can see in his forthcoming film PREY!

About the Host, Eva
Hello we are an Australian couple living in Europe. We have recently renovated a wonderful apartment in the Jordaan Amsterdam. It's been a labour of love, the house is from 1666, so it's a true monument. We love travelling and have been to every continent around the world - except Antartica (we did make it to the southern most part of Argentina though!) We have lived in Amsterdam for almost six years and before that the UK and Asia. We're social, friendly, trustworthy and love meeting new people. We are also renting out our family home in Melbourne. Australia. Both of our parents still live there and look after the property. We look forward to welcoming you!
