About this listing
Unique home; kind of a cross between a bungalow and a craftsmen. Very close to downtown but on a quiet street. Private nicely green backyard. You will be very comfortable here. It is a cozy home; well loved. There is a black cat in residence.
This is a healing house. It has wonderful energy! Hard wood floors, wood stove, secluded back yard garden. So much to see and do in Ithaca. The Gorges, wonderful locally produced food everywhere and all kinds of entertainment will keep you busy. No need to drive to the wineries located within minutes! I recommend Moosewood, NorthStar, Maxy's, the Piggery, Ithaca Bakery and Simeon's.
There are two bedrooms with double beds and one full bath upstairs. There is a double futon in the living room. There is a half bath downstairs. There is a small woodstove with a fireplace screen for a cozy fire.
The neighborhood is mixed; some nice houses, some apartment complexes not so great. It is safe and quiet.
Ithaca has great public transportation and taxi service.
I have a dog and a cat so if you are allergic, take note. We need a little notice to find alternative housing for ourselves and the animals. If you are willing to co-habitat with a great chef and the dog and cat we can be more responsive. We will throw in breakfast in that circumstance.
Guests have access to the whole house including laundry facilities, back yard, and screened front porch. The house is close to downtown, the commons, and eateries.
Interaction with Guests
I won't be around much. I will just stop in your first morning to make sure you have what you need.
Other Things to Note
Important that you realize there is a cat in residence!
No smoking indoors. On the porch or out back is ok. If you have more than two people, the rate is $200 per bedroom.
