I absolutely love this precious neighborhood! My house is perched in the hills of Morro Bay, with fantastic ocean and mountain views. As you drive up the hill you see homes with quaint boats such as the "Scampi" and "Castaway," and seaside decor of dolphins, whales, pelicans and starfish.
Up from my street, the drive gets very steep, and the houses very nice, and it makes for a great morning walk or run. Remarkable views every step!
Walk to the beach from here, and some local restaurants including the super popular "Taco Temple" for the most amazing fish tacos ever! Or, drive to the Embarcadero for other restaurants. Lots of public transportation on Main St, just a few blocks down the hill.

This home is truly a gem (just like Linda). Linda greeted us the night we arrived as one would a good friend. Very kind and gracious host. On this valentines day wkend, we were welcomed with cupcakes and a bottle of wine - delightful! The moment we walked into the house, it immediately felt like "coming home". Our group consists of 3 families w/2 toddlers. The home is very spacious both inside and out. The kids enjoyed the backyard patio and roomy living room for play. Bathrooms: the waterfall shower was a treat/clean,newly renovated, natural sunlight within. Enjoyed the lovely bathroom amenities (lotions, shampoos, etc), and plush towels. Bedroom: hotel standard. so comfy it was hard to roll out of bed. Kitchen: has everything you could possible need to prep food for a group our size.Views: Windows throughout provide spectacular view. Imagine waking up to the sunrise/ocean view and winding down the day to magnificent sunset/ocean breeze. Misc: Minutes from 3 markets, various restaurants, and the beach. And a quick 15 minutes drive to SLO (must try firestone trip tip sandwiches in SLO, chamisal winery-bring picnic items with you, and surfside pizza in Morro Bay). For planners - like myself, Linda will inform you all there is to know about the town in advanced which made my job as family "travel guide" very easy and accommodating. Lastly, Linda's kindness and warmth can be felt though out the house. With much detail and care, the home exceeded our expectations. We look forward to staying in her lovely home again...actually, we can't wait! It was truly a pleasure to experience the home and feel so lucky we found it.
This house was perfect. Even though it wasn't directly on the beach, it was only a few-minute drive to the bay. It was also on top of a hill that allowed great views of the bay and of Morro Rock. We had 7 guests, and the house was the perfect size for a large group. The place was clean, beautiful, and cozy. Linda was very responsive and a great host.
Linda's place is beautiful and has amazing views of the ocean. She left great information about the town and a suggestion of her favorite things. I highly recommend her place. It's clean, beautiful, and very peaceful. We were so lucky that she had availability on short notice.
Perfect experience. Linda's house was just perfect. Her response was prompt and very kind. The house has gorgeous ocean view and all the information was accurate. the house has everything you need for your vacation. Especially, the kitchen was just wonderful. it has all the equipment we need. Linda also gave us very useful information about restaurant, hiking course, spa information,...etc. Everything was just perfect. Definitely I will come back and stay Linda's house for the next trip.
interior design was just perfect. everything was
Staying at Linda's place was a lovely vacation. Booking was prompt, smooth and professional. The descriptions of house and area were accurate and she far is some nice tips on activities and such prior to our arrival when I emailed her. The house was very homey, with everything one could need- games, well equipped kitchen, nice towels- like staying in the home of a thoughtful friend. She was gracious in renting to us with 4 kids between 4 and 7 and our kids did well (we tired them out at beach and del mar playground) but folks with toddlers might need to be careful in Linda's home which has lots of lovely breakables, some of which we put away.
This house was the best site for a much needed vacation, and a family reunion over Christmas! Great location, easy to find, super cozy environment, well appointed, and cheery. Every last amenity (down to the coffee grinder!) was there, and the house was spotless and just like everything promised on the site, photos, and thru emails from the host. The beds comfortable, the showers great, and the view stunning! Plenty of space for 6 people, all of whom needed 'their own space' on occasion, and a really nice big dining table (and kitchen) for holiday cooking and celebrating! Great recommendations from the host for closeby eating and visiting--all and all a delightful stay at a reasonable price! We will be back!
Fantastic!! Our trip to Morro Bay was an absolute joy. Linda met us with a warm welcome shortly after we arrived and made us feel right at home. Our two youngest children were first to explore the home, as we were unpacking they kept coming up to us excitedly describing all their wonderful discoveries. "There is a Purple Princess room!" from my 7 year old daughter and "The front yard has ferns like dinosaurs ate during the Jurassic period" from my 10 year old son. After a terrific night's sleep in the most comfy bed ever we woke up to our own discovery, THE VIEW, it is spectacular and just open the windows and you can hear the waves crash to shore as you watch them, your are that close to the beach!
We were in Morro Bay for my second oldest daughter's wedding, she was getting married on the beach Saturday. We had a full house with people in every room and this wonderful home accommodated everyone. The kitchen is superb, plenty of amenities, we were even able to host a dinner party to meet the new in laws.
I truly can not say enough about this place, it was everything we were hoping for and more. Our entire weekend was a blessing and I will forever be in debt to Linda and her very special home because the smile and thank you I received from my daughter were priceless.

HI - my name is Linda and my two favorite places in the world are Morro Bay and South Lake Tahoe! I have a beach house in Morro Bay and a ski place in Tahoe that I offer on Airbnb. I am a SF/Bay Area transplant to the Central Coast, most recently from Emerald Hills, near Redwood City. I have a 19 yr old daughter in college. I'm a U.C. Berkeley grad who still has a lot of Berkeley in her. I love healthy eating and exercise. In Morro Bay I am completely mellowed out by the ocean view and beauty of the central coast from my livingroom window. : ) In Tahoe, the view is giant pine trees and snow covered mountains. Both are such stunning areas. In Morro Bay for hiking there is the stunning Montana de Oro bluffs, the waterfall at reservoir canyon, Mt. Madonna, Bishops Peak, the Harmony Headland trail to the ocean, and so many other coastal hikes.. In Tahoe, there are countless trails and smaller lakes such as Fallen Leaf Lake, and Burnside Lake. I do still love Zumba, Pilates and yoga, too. Love to have guests stay, and I stay out of your way, but am also here to chat with about the area if you want.
